Lately, I’ve been thinking about the “Resting in Peace” statuses we sometimes see on Torn the players whose passing has been verified and acknowledged by the community.

 

But it also makes me wonder about all the players who simply disappeared one day. Some may have quit, some may have moved on with life, and some may have taken a break and never returned. And sadly, there may also be players whose passing was never known or could never be verified. We’ll probably never know how many.

 

So this is just a small tribute to everyone who has been part of torn, especially those whose stories ended without us ever knowing what happened.

May they be remembered not for the fact that their accounts went inactive, but for the time, friendships, and memories they shared with this community.

 

 Rest in Peace to those we know we’ve lost, and a thought for those whose absence remains unexplained.

Life comes and goes. I do my utmost to treat everyone I cross paths with on here as kind as possible. It's just who and how I am as a person. I like to hope my kindness helps ppl smile and maybe have a better day (or even a few moments) because we only get one life that we know of. Life is hard but a smile, compliment etc makes life better. 

 

I hope those who aren't here anymore, alive or not, were the kind of ppl who made a great impact towards those they met here and are remembered with a fond smile and perhaps a story or two. It's said we die twice. First time is literal death and the second is when the last person who knew us also dies. 

 

Be the kind of (preferably good lol) person whose friends talk about you to their kids and perhaps their kids tell of you to their kids. ♥️

One of our faction members just stopped coming on about 16 days ago. The last we heard from him, he was looking forward to the upcoming war we had just matched, and then he didn’t come back on. It hasn’t been very long, but his excitement about the game,  faction and discovering DCC through us, makes me feel like he’s not gone because of loss of interest. 

We had to remove him before this last war so we wouldn’t have to worrying about turtling, but kept him on our Discord, so hopefully he pops up again some day.
