All browser extensions were disabled.
Attempting to view a mini profile by holding a username also triggers the copy feature. It closes the mini profile if you try to open it and release it while on the copy button.

Same. It's how I discovered the new copy feature. Pretty cool but should be differenciated depending where you press :) thanks devs!
Came here to post the same bug, it should probably ignore all anchor tags and not just the username.
A little more opinionated, but imo on mobile, you should be able to tap outside of any messages to "deselect" the current selection rather than selecting the message to the left of this option. I can put it in a seperate bug report if necessary, but possibly no point doing so if it's not a UX pattern you agree with. See pic for example, tapping the red squiggle should remove the selection (not touching any bubbles)
