So, instead of endlessly spinning the wheel for a PI, I was wondering; If you buy a lesser property, such as palace(?), and upgrade it for a vault, can you store money in that vault after you move out of the property? That way, you have a 'bank' as well as the benefit of airstrips, etc on a rented PI.
Quick question on vaults

Yes, but it can be impractical if you share the PI with your spouse. If your spouse holds the lease it's easy, you just move to the palace when you want to deposit or withdraw money. If you hold the lease you have to kick all your staff and your spouse out of the PI before you can move into the palace. Also, you can't kick staff until they have been employed for a day, so this is really practical only if your spouse holds the lease so you are free to move when you want to.
Edit:
Also, do not buy a property with vanilla specs, buy one that has the upgrades you need, its usually much cheaper.
Or at the very least, buy a property off the player market. Those of us, ahem, with HRG benefits sometimes sell properties on the market instead of dumping them for half the buying price back to the game.
