Since missions were introduced i love doing them every day. No matter how hard i give the max effort. Even if energy-wise it might not be that smart, but that's a personal choice i made. I'm ranked top-25 credits earned and proud of it.

Yesterday i got assigned this target as part of a bigger mission. ( 3 targets in 3 countries). He's in China, so i went over there and did not stand any chance. Today i took a vico asked a reviver to fly with me, so i could make multiple attempts and stack smokes.

My total stats are 60% of what he has and even with 5 (!) stacked smokes on him he did beat the hell out of me. If anyone was wondering whether stacked temps are still overpowered the question is abolutely no. I could do like 2-300 dmg each time i hit him, so i would have needed a lot of turns anyway to beat him.

Since the target is abroad you can not do a team attack, so options are limited. This guy is just way out of my league. In ton i could have handled it, but abroad i do not see any viable option. Even if i would have had more hp. 1-2 hits and i'm dead. With vico and with 5 stacked smokes. I've asked around and no one could give me any suggestion other then to file a report wich i did over here,

Unfortunately i got a rather patronizing answer, so my last option is to ask my fellow players if they have any idea what i possibly could do more. Any help would be appreciated a lot.

Do you have the ability to take epi's? With vico + epi + full hp you might have had a better chance at doing enough dmg. Or Sero to give you more life each time you get revived and cause him to do you less dmg. Knowing yours vs. his stats would be helpful to this question.

Stack some more energy and do the same?

Throw HEG's or Molotovs perhaps if you can do without the smokes.

Or throw flashbang instead of smoke if stacking smokes really is not helping as you say. Since flashbang gives a higher % for shorter amount of time.

Or ask someone that can beat him down to fly with you instead of a reviver (or bring both).

Or.. Forget about the mission? :)

Molotovs could be a decent idea instead of smokes. Flash's probably aren't going to help if stacked smokes aren't doing the trick. And as he mentioned, only he can attack the abroad offliner.

this would be your best bet using epinephrine (i would imagine since you aren't doing much damage).

if you don't have them already combat training and biology both bachelors are the two best educations for attacking, you are making life harder on yourself if you don't have these.
Sazz [1982373]

I missed that proxima, ty.

Some other suggestion would be to join a furniture store for +25% str. I'm not all too familiar with missions, they have a time limit I am aware, just not sure if you can get the company special activated before the mission times out. Just thinking of possibilities.
Proxima [1879587] Wiki Editor

If you plan it just right, you can activate the company special within 48hrs+change so you should be able to complete the mission in time, yep

@ mug and prox:

I can not use epi/sero yet. There are a lot of good edu's to do and considering my game age (still well under 600 days) there are not that many that i could allready have finished. Even with WSSB they take time to complete. I did forget to mention that i have the AN specialty which gives my opponent 25% less speed which doesn't seem to make any difference.

If anything i was shocked to see the impact that the changes had on stacked temps. Ow...and i do have pretty balanced stats.

Attacking-reviving-attacking-reviving-attacking-reviving etc also takes time. Other temps last a lot shorter as far as i know (if not please enlighten me) and by the time you get to the 5th attack they still have to last. Stacked smokes allways worked for me. It's litterally the first time after almost 500 missions that i'm unable to beat someone. And not even coming close. After 5 attacks i did not even do 2k dmg while the target has well over 6k hp. Major problem of course him being abroad.

Edit: traveling now. WIll post my exact stats when i land.

Edit 2:

My stats:
  • Strength 110,570,593
  • Defense 97,147,602
  • Speed 138,849,185

  • Total 443,736,847

using flashbang would help more, but the biology boosters are a game changer.

have your friend smoke grenade and you flash bang, these will stack. smoke + smoke won't stack very well anymore and neither will flash + flash but flashbang and smoke being different items will stack and give 100% of their value.

that's probably you're best bet outside of biology boosters 20 seconds or so where they most likely wont stand a chance to hit you.
Dagrims [2007550]

I don't think anyone else will be able to join in or separately attack his target, because that player has been off-line for enough days that he dropped off the list of people in China. He only shows up for Kingstown because he's a mission target.
CastleQueen [1735522]

Your target's logged in again and is travelling back to Torn now, so you could try group attacking him when he gets back/file another report if that doesn't complete the mission since you can't exactly hosp someone overseas when they're not overseas anymore...
mug [553318] Committee Committee

ah forgot that part about him being a flying mission between my first and second post xP
daub [1869454]

I dunno how to help with your mission but the so-called 'Very Hard' category has wildly different difficulties. Some targets go down if you sneeze in their direction, while others require you flying for hours just to bounce off omnipotent beings from other realms.
Kingstown [1957679]

Wow....

In Torn won't be a problem. This is a huge relief!

And i think Jussi is right. Other then him being abroad which is a huge problem it's likely to assume his passives are way better then mine considering the age-difference. I still feel that assinging targets like this abroad should be looked at. A target should be difficult at expert level, but there should at least be a chance to beat him.

Thnx at everyone that made an effort to come up with a solution.
Valandes [2023976]

Pass the mission dude, some missions just take too much effort. I was once asked to defeat a guy with no less than 9 turns, which I could one hit kill with rusty sword/pillow and xanax. OFC I could have a dirty bomb dropped on me and my stats reduced by 99%, but I dont think anyone will do that, just like you could ask 10 revivers to fly with you and stack 1000e to take him down
