So I am slightly confused regarding stats. I understand if a stat (lets say defense) is 14x higher than the other players strength, you cant be damaged. The 14x may not be correct but i understand the concept. If i just tanked out and did all stats towards defense it doesnt count stalemates as a successful defense does it?

Pretty much im trying to figure out if it why people do like even stats at a 1:1:1:1 ratio.

Is there any point in defense stats if you have really high attacking stats?

Im confused and my thread looks like ass. I apologize.

Stalemates are a separate category. If you whored only defense, you'd never be able to actually win an attack because you don't have strength and speed. You'd be capable of stalemating a lot while never being able to hit anyone. Seems like a boring strategy.

Ok. So.. No point in putting in defense stats than besides the 1m bars for each catergory? Like someone with lower strength and speed couldnt beat me just because my defense is shit right? especially if my Strength and speed were much better?

Strength and defense are related. Speed and dexterity are related. If you have all defense, they will hit you every time but likely for a low amount (or 0 depending on how much you've whored). If you whored dexterity, it would be hard for them to hit you at all. However, you would miss or hit 0 on all your attacks because of low speed and strength. Therefore it will be a long, boring battle.

Someone with lower strength and speed can beat you if they have higher def & dex in comparison to your speed/strength or if you have high defense and no dexterity (as they wouldn't miss, they would just hit weak shots)

If you have 500m strength, 500m speed, 1m defense, 500m dexterity and your opponent has 375m strength, 375m speed, 375m defense, 375m dex (same life, same merit allocation, same faction specials, same education, same armour, same job) you would lose. You should train everything, all four stats matter

A good example is MarlonBrando. He has whored strength to something like 500m but all his other stats are under 100k. He loses to players under 50 days old who train all 4 stats as he can't hit them with his low speed. All stats matter.

why? i can understand that balanced stats are better but if your opponent has 70% of my stat in each stat seems pretty hard to win as you deal less dmg and less hits or im missing something

You will hit your opponent slightly more frequently (your speed : their dex > their speed : your dex) but they will hit you far harder (their strength : your def >> your strength : their def)

The way how to think about it is like this. Any stat which is too low will make you vulnerable. If its really catastrophically low then even a new player can get through it.

If your speed is too low and their dex too high you can NEVER ever hit them even if you attacked them 1000 times.

If your strength is too low and their defence and armour too good you can NEVER damage them.

If your dexterity is too low ANYONE can hit you , so a good player with lots of speed will hit you everytime.

If your defence is too low ANYONE hitting you will damage you. So if they have nice strength you will die in 1 or 2 hits.

get all stats above 10b each... then you can whore whichever stat you chose.. and i garantee most people will have trouble defeating you

say each person has 4 billion total battle stats. you put 2 bil into speed and str or def and dex and the other has 1 bil in each, you are most likely to either lose or stalemate every time as you can either never hit them or just get destroyed instantly

You need a decent amount of each stat, but there's no need to be perfectly balanced. Imbalances can be compensated with temp items, at least a degree. It also depends on your gym strategy and SE strategy. It could make sense to be unbalanced for a few years in order to get stronger later.
