I put to you all that "bullying" does not exist what occurs in fact is the stories we tell ourselves in our frontal cortex about the words and actions of others and how we Perceive them.

Shocking as it may be to many but bullying as we define it as a society is really just a made up word to cover the stories we tell ourselves.

For example: Person A feels that Person B is constantly "bullying" them as Person B is will make comments to Person A in relation to their actions. However Person B is making said comments about the way they perceive Person A's actions and are in effect telling their own stories (in their frontal cortex) about Person A, this in turn leads to Person A telling their own stories to themselves that Person B is "being mean, picking on them, bullying them".

We tell on average 200-400 stories to ourselves each day in our frontal cortex.

If we change the stories we tell ourselves about other's behaviour and perceived "bullying" then it goes away, the person loses power to affect us and we gain power over ourselves again.

Just some food for thought.

You and I would have some awesome conversations in RL. Part of me even thinks we might know each other already.

But we're in torn and well, we're in torn.

Once you start using perception as an argument, there is no ending, it's an open argument forever. I would challenge what you have said with people in RL who get perceived "bullied" who's front cortex get kicked and punched regularly...bet they would disagree its just a perception.
McDallas [14757]

When someone punches you, we're no longer playing the perception game. You have a literal action of being punched.

The perception game you are playing is adding a label to this literal action, and as long as we're dealing with a hypothetical scenario, there is no way to determine motive or assign a label.

"Bullying" is not a tangible thing. Any form you give it is YOUR way of labelling and based on your story you're creating. Is it bullying? Why?
BilateralAxe [2059115]

Well it would be bullying by Definition, not perception...as defined by Human's

"Bullying is an ongoing misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical and/or social behavior that causes physical and/or psychological harm. It can involve an individual or a group misusing their power over one or more persons. Bullying can happen in person or online, and it can be obvious (overt) or hidden (covert)."

Didn't that definition come about by people's perception of certain things by the stories they tell themselves however? If enough people call it bullying it must be so?

If you are taught to fight at a young age and stand up for yourself, it does not exist, because you weren't raised to be a victim. Many children these days are coddled and tough love is frowned upon, and we wonder why there are so many sensitive kids and why suicide is up at an alarming rate. There have always been sensitive kids - but now it's a bit out of control, more sensitive ones than kids who are willing to fight a bully. It's not just the one or two kids in class anymore.
