Of course it exists but the nature and the extent is impossible to determine as some snowflakes thing being called a name is bullying where as others need a lot more hate to consider it so. It is really a silly argument to start like politics and religion you never get into those sort of conversations as everyone had their own opinion.

Its one thing to say people are soft now days it never used to be this bad. That will not solve anything and neither do I think anything needs to be solved. After reading the article in the newspaper I know one thing for sure, I have been a dick to others in the past and many people here are huge dickheads constantly to others but that will not stop until Ched does something about it. I am not even sure he will do anything because the grey area is too big the work involved in looking into each case would be huge but maybe just maybe there needs to be a couple people allocated to look into these complaints and a separate report button added for bullying.

The same repercussions involved for silly reports ie you get banned yourself or have some disciplinary action against you. It will get to the point where Ched will have to do something as real life and the net life is quickly merging and litigation is spreading.

Most of the 'bullying' on this game seems to arise from people giving out too many personal details, sharing nudes, and chatting outside of the game on things like discord. This is a ****ing game, why on earth you feel the need to do that kind of stuff on a crime game is beyond me (I do go on discord servers though, mainly for events and torn related things though).

Obviously, there are other factors, some people just post here to be pricks. Also pathetic, why you feel the need to belittle people on an online game is beyond me as well.

Basically, when you combine these two types of people (both of whom are obviously insecure to their very cores) you get a perfect storm of 'bullying'.

Let's take the recent Kata/Phantom shit show, none of that would have happened if these people just played the ****ing game instead of turning it into some high school bullshit. Grow up kiddies.

It's about time someone else started making sense around here. There's too little of it these days.

Listen, you can all use whatever pop-intellectual and pop-philosophical crap they're bandying around these days, but doesn't make you either. Anybody who asks if bullying exists or not obviously has never seen real bullying or been bullied themselves. If anything, it sounds like something a bully would say.

Nothing to do with being a snowflake or being coddled. When somebody is verbally harrased, day in day out, to the point where their life revolves around that harassment and they can no longer function, that is absolutely bullying. No need to involve perceptions or anything of the sort.

As for all the people who think that bullying is a symptom of bad parenting or what not, all I have to say is that you don't know peole's lives or people's stories. Maybe instead of acting superior, you could act grateful that you had parents around who actually cared enough to be involved in your life, instead of having parents who were absent or abusive. Like seriously, grow up, anything past the age of 13 and you should be well aware of how shitty the world is.

Finally, any form of bullying, whether verbal or physical, is an absolute affront to the social contract and human decency. The act of bullying is pitiful, disgraceful, and revolting. If you think that using your better position in life against other people and lording it over them is anything more than real weakness, you're the one with the problem.

You should have qualified this with 'studies have shown'.

For you to be bullied - there's has to be a weakness on your end, more mental than physical. A bully is mentally weak.... you physically defeat them and they are done. It's really that simple. Now that's not always easy, but these days there are too many resources to learn how to properly kick the shit out of a bully. A bully normally bullies multiple people, so if all else fails, help the kids "organize" and take out the bully that way. I was bullied when i was very young - i decided to fight back. I learned how to box and some jiu jitsu. After about 3-4 months of the boxing, i kicked the ****in shit out of my bully and he never even looked at me wrong again. That's what kids these days need to do. Bullying is an early introduction to how life is not fair and if you are weak, it will chew you up and spit you out.

You're only mentioning one particular type of bullying.

Your appreciation of the extent (as well as potential damage that can be done) is very narrow and shallow.

JFA et al factions are disrepectful of all players, all staff, all factions, and all the owners of the game, they self justify their actions, and teach others to do more of the same, with no remorse, as noted directly above, they are a risk to themselves and the game owners by their actions, and their feined complicity with game rules, which they break every chance they can, and are getting bolder by the day, If you want real respect, then give real respect always, and expect the same respect in return, always keep your word its all we really have. They bring only disgrace and shame to their names and families. Ched is the final arbiter of all of their real actions. MB

The worst part is there are some staff and committee members as well as other faction "leaders" that are complicit with them and rouitnely look the other way, instead of correcting the problem, which they are getting bolder at, and worse day after day. The PinkPower 204 takeover was not just about winning the Elimination Competition, it was a way to have access to most of the girls in the game, then demean them by their actions, with complicit staff and committee members cheering them on and a real disgrace.

The point that most owners, staff, committee, faction leaders, and players miss is that JFA et al uses EVERY OPPORTUNITY to expolit, cheat, spoil, dishonor and despoil as many players as they can with no reguard for what is right or acceptible behaviour. The fact that no player was banned from this group in their exploits/ scripts/ cheats, is a disgrace to the game and continues to need to be corrected. If you want to understand the true character of this group/ faction/ monopoly just look at their recruiting threads and trading threads, not just the current threads, all the historic ones, then you will get a very clear picture of their true character and their real actions.

You just learnt that if someone is mean to you, you can hurt them. Seems like a shit lesson to be honest. If an adult acts in the same way, that's prison.

A lot of times, they need to. Bullies may not understand much, but they understand getting punched in the face and they understand that they dont like that feeling of being powerless, so the problem gets solved. Of course you teach your kid not to beat everyone up, not to start problems.... but to finish them. That just goes without saying - common sense.

Im referring to real life in this thread not torn. Getting bullied on the internet is laughable... it's called turn the ****in computer off. Block and/or ignore the person. Report them - so many effin tools to stop bullying on the internet, especially on a game like torn.

Bullying on the internet? No.

IRL? Hell yeah.
