I don't know about anyone else, but I'm already sick of this cold ass winter (in the Western Hemisphere). I like the cold, but not this getting up and getting up and leaving the house by 6AM and the temperature being 1F degree. I'm ready for a milder winter. (FIRST POST of nonsense)

Seasons aren't split down the western and eastern hemisphere. Try northern and southern.

I have similar temps to you (but I measure them in Celsius). I actually quite like the nasty old winter. It's harsh as **** and can get you down at times but there's no denying that Spring is all the sweeter when it finally comes around.

Up until this year, the tropic were a pretty sweet place to be but I hate the cold. Winter makes me sad as hell. Autumn is a beautiful season though.

Yesterday, 3 inches of snow fell. Today, the high reached 10 degrees Fahrenheit. I walked outside and covered 50 feet at an average speed of 1 mile per hour before slipping and falling onto my head.

Wait, what's this "metric?"

I'm in Texas, where the only region that usually gets snow, is the panhandle. It snowed in the valley. That's south Texas, along the border - McAllen, Brownsville, etc. That's very strange.

Today, in my little patch of heaven, the roads are iced over and everyone is driving like an asshat.

I have 4 blankets on my bed, the thermostat cranked, and a space heater in the room - Still fell asleep in 3 hoodies, my jeans, yoga pants over my jeans, cuddled with my cats. Still cold.

damn guys, didn't think this thread would have replies lol. we had a wind chill advisory till 10AM today. when I left for work at 0600 it was 1 with a wind chill of -20F.



and sorry, I don't know metric lol. us silly Americans use the standard.

Anyhow, 12.7 cm's sounds some much bigger than 5 inches :)

Quite strange indeed for Brownsville. I lived in Clear Lake a few years and had to call on South TX every few weeks.

We had a once in a generation light dusting here a few weeks ago. Big heavy flakes, but no accum. We're too close to warm Gulf water to get snow.

@zee3 I sure hope you didn't get 3.33333333 cubits of 'lake-effect' snow like Erie, PA is getting. **** that.
