I'm not risking the confirm button but even if it gives an error message at the end of confirming it should really just flatout say you can't take an NPC name.

maybe it makes a difference whether u use the capitol D or not.
It shouldn't. For me, "duke" shows as unavailable.
You can change the casing of your own name, but no-one should be able to change to your name, regardless of the casing.
i agree, it should show as unavailable, even if its in lower case.
i just tested it, its because of capitol letters. Duke is unavailable, duke is.

same with me - weird, i understand it's our names but should let us pick our own names?
its getting weirder all the time lol, cause krastinov is still available and now mat-Senpai isnt.

Yes, you can change the casing of your OWN name. Otherwise, it would result in having to pay 200 points to change from Arrow to arrow. (and the 3 months wait...) :)

while this actually makes sense i want an admin to confirm a quick hotfix so i know i'm not going mad.

my guess is you can change the letter case of your own name but it is messing with the other player name selection too, but thatz just my guess.........
but me and mat tried duke and it was available for a few mins, but Duke wasnt, also with some other names. so we did try a few other names other then our own. thats what was strange, but now it doesnt happen anymore, even more strange. probably aliens taking over torn.

can only assume it has been hotfixed not long after this bug and perhaps something they were planning to work on and just good timing? maybe
Yeah, I just had another thread closed in which this box was going a bit loopy.
It all works as expected on my phone but on the computer it is a bit screwy with mistakes about name too short vs name unavailable and I noticed the same thing about letter case yesterday too.
