hello everyone,

i know this discussion will probably end up in a huge shit festival, but maybe one or the other will contribute something useful.

offcoarse i am also looking forward to funny, cynical and ironic remarks, as long as people dont get too personal and impolite thats ok. dont want this thread to be closed because people go apeshit, thanks.

so a lot of factions are doing 5k and 10k chains now and many have achieved a few here and there. but my Q. is how do you see the future of the big chains in respect to other factions trying to sabotage them, and as some people know there are a few ways to do that. do you think its fair? or is this actually the salt and pepper of the future here in TC? we have seen alot of this where outside factions help others in wars etc. but this is a completely different scale. just imagine when the 25k 50k and 100k are unlocked and your faction gets screwed right in the end by another faction that stacked specially for screwing it up, it really opens up a whole new aspect to the game. it's going to get hard and harder the 25k alone needs about 7k energy per person x 100 people and then comes the risk that all is for nothing because another faction is stacking to shaft u dry at the last stretch.

please share your views and keep it a little bit polite, just a little lol ;-), the poll is just for fun.

It will definitely happen as there are a lot of players/factions that enjoy others people misery more then anything else.

Whether it's fair or not is irrelevant. It's legal. That's all that matters. Personally i do not see the point at all to sabotage others as there is not much to gain for our own faction by doing that.

I cant see many factions doing this because most keep to themselves and dont go out looking for trouble, I think we will certainly see a couple like we have already though.[]

Stop attacking us and you'll be able to hit your bonuses correctly. Flaw in this system is that you have to work with other Factions in order to achieve the optimal respect, which isn't possible when your Faction decides to alienate every other Faction in the game.

You're right though, the system shouldn't be like this. Having to rely on other Factions to chain is ridiculous, you should be able to do it on your own.

You could grease yourself up and look at a big faction you dont like and if they are doing a chain hosp all the online players or place good bounties on them :P

Then sit back patiently and wait for all the crying mails :P

In the old system you could just lay down and play dead for a while and start another chain later on, imagine getting slammed for hours or even days. Im not sure if any faction could keep their chain alive if people decides to mess with it for real. So far when people are messing around it has been by just a handful of players and for a stort period of time

I think people would still be able to hit through normal attacks with the help of revives. But if DB's are ever released they have the potential to completely break a big chain.

Possible for sure, but the defending faction would need to develop superpowers, imagine JFK making effort to shut SA down at 75k+ and how many randoms would assist just "because" . Or the other way around aswell, shutting down the JFK AoW monopoly.

Factions could ofcourse do big chains together, to make it less tempting to break it.

Having disrupted a few chains/bonuses, I can say that it does feel too easy to royally screw a chain. When one, or even two, mediocre-statted players can take the work of dozens of players spending thousands of energy and presumably hundreds of millions, and drop the major respect bonuses by half or more with little effort, something doesn't seem right.

That being said, with the way the system is designed currently I'm not entirely sure it is remediable. In fact, it may even be intended. However, with how new the system is, there may be precautions or tactics to fight this that simply haven't been tried yet.

It's a pretty simple fix. Hide the chain counter outside the faction.

But ched likes the drama. : Headshake:
