So i am here to regretfully inform the torn community that i have recently been threatened by staff, that if i do not release the information they are seeking, im in danger of losing my account.
My response: I do not know, i do not care, im not staff, it is not my job.
From what i understand "they have gain the info needed" to go through my private chat logs to piece together what ever info they are seeking.
they have now warned me that "I have been made aware"
as always torn its been real

Edit: Sorry for not making this clear before, info gained off sight, and from rumors "warranted" the chat log search, and me being questioned.
kind of torn on this. If they want a player's off-site chat logs, there is no right to use them. However, if the player is suspected of game violations, then I can understand the player wanting to provide the off-site logs to clear themselves, to prevent erroneous jailing for TOS violation.
If the chat logs they want are on site, they don't really need permission to access them if they have the authority to.They can just go in and getting it. Asking permission is a respectful formality, but the player's response doesn't really matter. They own the data and the servers it's stored on. Legally, it's their property.
