Why are cuss words such as f*** censored and against the rules to bypass? As 787thWarDog said minors do play, and if that's the reason why censor cuss words but then not censor all the soft porn people put on their profiles?
PG-13 (parental guidance-13): Some material may not be suitable for children under 13. Any nudity has to be nonsexual, and any swear words have to be used sparingly. Violence in PG-13 films may be intense, but must be bloodless.
There's plenty of profiles with pictures of sexual things that aren't elicit, but if the purpose it to make it more appropriate to younger audiences why censor something small like cuss words but overlook pictures say a woman without a bra holding a pillow to her chest? I'm not saying I want more rules but rather that it seems to not follow through with the idea of making it PG-13.

You have 13 year old boys doing God knows what with their inch worms because of technology these days. I can understand keeping the pornagraphic material out of Torn because this isnt a porn site, but to censor curse words is a joke imo...

EHHHHH i don't know if censorship was created to protect the younger audiences specifically, but it's necessary to keep the game from becoming a complete free for all shit show.
Anyone offended by soft core porn on people's profiles would not last 1 week in a TORN without cuss censorship.
It’s not really about censoring for the sake of removing the terms from society. It’s about learning appropriate behaviors during appropriate times. Kids cuss, but it needs to happen where expected and not at school or other times when it might scandalize adults. To believe it doesn’t happen is naive
