Faction announcement page/ Timer Countdowns?

Would anyone know how we could achieve a timer countdown on faction announcement page? i found the source editor that i need to put them in but every html code i try with it doesn't save. and the one's i find work just put a grey box in... not an actual counter... granted i'm not versed on HTML so all codes i've found were freebie ones online.

Suggestions?

I'm not aware of any possibility to actually execute code from the faction announcements. (This would be a serious security issue as well).

You could have it link to an external source that does update though. Maybe an image url that is automatically updated often? Every time the page is loaded it will update the counter. There might be some issues with caching though, and you can't watch it tick down.

Maybe someone else knows how to do it, but i don't think it's possible.

i'd spoken to others who'd seen it done but i'm not sure where they saw it to ask those factions. they don't recall. as for my own inquiries into it bogie is the one who directed me to putting the code into the source editor. and didn't say it was not possible.
