This is the only guide I've come across that doesn't say "go balanced"

https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16132234

I've also heard of people doing the opposite to the extreme and almost ignoring defense while focusing on dexterity. People call them whores for some reason, probably cause they like calling people mean things. There are some job perks that help this style that someone else would have to give you more detail on.

The one thing all experienced players seem to agree on is that late in the game you want balance.

Mentions: Hank's Ratio / Baldr's Ratio

I think it’s smart to focus on less than 4 stats early on. That way you get to exponential gains early on. And as you get better NW and you can afford doing more happy jumps to get the low stats back up to higher levels faster.

When you hit the 50m soft cap on each of your stats you'll be gaining a few million stats each day. If you're worried about balance before then. it's just silly. When you'll be able to gain 3m strength in a day in the not-so-distant future, debating whether to go for 50k or 500k strength now really doesn't make any difference. Get a 3 xanax a day habit and train your best gym dots and faction bonus stats.

The only real reason to worry about balance under about a billion total stats is to make sure you have the ratios needed to unlock a specialty gym once you reach Cha Cha's: https://wiki.torn.com/wiki/Gym#Specialist_Gyms_.26_Requirements. And you should definitely be planning for that once you unlock your first heavyweight gym.

It is.

But if you are playing the game for the long term use the gym which gives most stat gains as you progress through they gyms.

I recall there being a lot of dexterity gyms.

Fix the imbalance when you reach the heavyweight gyms.

Surely only giving love to one stat while ignoring the rest is the opposite to whoring. That’s a monogamous relationship! Sharing the love between 4 people/ stats, that’s whoring.

whoring
to use in a non-sexual reference; as in partaking in alot of something; OVERINDULGING
He was whoring all of my potato chips and didn't leave any for me.
or
Kyle was sitting on his ass TV-whoring all weekend, and didn't hang out with us.

So no, 4 stats is balanced, single stat is whoring.
DangerNoodle [1482301]
By your own definition you’re wrong.

you're training ALL the stats. Leaving non untouched!
what a stat slut.
but if you’re just train one, you’re leaving plenty free.
hardly stealing all the potato stats, you can train def dex and speed, I’ll just do my strength!

But just training one isn’t good enough for you huh? Gotta over indulge and stick your stat stick in all the pies. You whore.
DangerNoodle [1482301]
You’re right to be confused. Especially because it’s clearly derivative of the sexual meaning. So much like whoring sexually involves sleeping with many many people, whoring in torn is training many many stats.

hopslam is just in denial because he doesn’t want to admit he’s a degenerate slut.

what would his hubby Malfurion think if he knew!
or maybe he’s always known, and that’s why they're together. ;)
