Can someone tell me the payout rate of dividend-based stocks? I have a general idea on that but I also want to know how much they payout

for dividend-based stocks, average of once every three months seem to be the general consensus

dividend stocks suck, they take ~5 years to pay themselves off. They are really only useful if you have nothing else to do with that money.
Yeah don’t use them unless you are going inactive, or have excess funds you don’t know what or have time to deal with. Otherwise they tie up funds you be better actively using for better income/return
Here's Andyman's analysis on stocks - he lays out 3 years worth of data in his first post on how much each stock pays and how often.

is it possible to buy it right before the payout then sell it again?
It's given randomly (with the average time between payouts being 3 months), everyone doesn't get payed at the same time so you can't predict when it'll be paying out
In cayman it takes 10+ years to pay for itself and you can get mugged, so its better then that.
