· 35 likes · i think the interactions in the game are already pretty realistic. For example, my spouse hasn't talked to me since we married and pretty much sleeps all day presumably eating all the shit in the fridge.
So, my original suggestion thread got the required amount of R+ and Ched basically said he likes the idea but we would need to bring in more ideal concepts that could be added to the game.
Let's discuss this!
What do you guys think could be added to torn in order to make the marriage system more useful and fun?
Don't really see this gaining much traction per cheds response. There really isn't many logical benefits to input that have reason behind it. Like increasing battle stats or decreasing CD doesn't make any sense logically. Marriage has nothing to do with that.
As I said in my initial post.. "per cheds response", if you read it, he clearly stated he's not going to add random shit that doesn't make sense. So again. Irrelevant.
Maybe we should keep this discussion productive for a better chance of things being implemented :)
This might be a huge pipe dream, but I'd love to see a small spouse armoury. Being able to share a select few weapons between spouses would be amazing, and could be added to the "Advanced Shooting Range" property upgrade (or an upgrade of its own?)
I see it working similarly to the faction weapon armoury, with a retrieve button for whoever deposited it into the armoury.

oh stop bellyachin' is this grade school mafia? He hit me so I'ma hit you?
I believe someone mentioned it in the previous thread, but you could be able to go have dinner with your spouse for a happiness boost. It should be, well, an interaction, so both of you would have to confirm it. And while you're having dinner you can't fly/race/whatever. I'm just a cat, please don't judge.

There could be more spousal interaction like that, you can share houses why not armory n med items, if your spouse allows you to?
Maybe you could do...naughty things with your spouse
It could use items such as: Ball gag, Maid uniform, etc
These items could all have their own effect such as: "Can be used to exchange 2 nerve into 50 happiness" or " Can be used to exchange 5 energy for 50 happiness" etc...
They could add to your booster cooldown but NOT be one-time use.

I really like Julie's idea of a shared armory between spouses; I think that armory would get used even if there was an additional property upgrade that had to be purchased to utilize it.
Other ideas I've written down from the past: - Small incremental happiness gain from a periodic click of a button when you're both online (maybe +250 happiness twice per day from a "kiss" button?) - A fridge for shared alcohol (self-explanatory!) - A small attacking bonus for tag-team fights that involve a spouse (nothing game-breaking... maybe +2% damage and +1.0 accuracy?) - A small boost to the happiness gained from EDVDs when you both use an EDVD in the same 15-min time block. (Maybe +5% happiness) - Exchange a flower set with spouse once a day for +25 energy (gives a fun boost to travel income) - A 200% revive chance boost for reviving a spouse (has a strategic benefit in war) - A free refill from Ched upon hitting a 365 day anniversary milestone (repeated each year) - A small organized crime success rate boost when a couple is in the same OC (maybe something to consider for crimes 2.0) - Increased bust chance for busting spouse (You know the ins-and-outs of your spouse and all...)
Something that would be easy to run and make sense (because Ched does have an emphasis on that) is a battle stat increase if you are attacking with a spouse. You could likely base it off of how long you have been married, topping it off at 10%. Maybe 1% stat increase every two weeks? Would also encourage alot more talking between spouses.
