I have been wondering about this but do you guys know why so many people have their age in torn set to 127? I've seen it so many times but no idea why, even tried googling it but just got random unhelpful results!

Is it some secret underground Torn cult? or some form of a message from ched? What do you get from setting your age to 127 if anything? Or maybe just pure coincidence?

Any information will be appreciated! Thanks!

No one in Torn lives past the age of 127. It has something do do with the combination of the radioactive fallout and the backed up sewer system. Beyond the age of 127 in Torn human genes mutate and people become morlock-like underground dwellers surviving on cannibalism.

Welp, in about a century, i'll make a thread complaining about the age limit. And torn better still exist in a century.

Seems odd, but I think this is correct.

If anyone is curious:
  1. Unsigned: It consists of only non-negative values i.e 0 to 255.
  2. Signed: It consist of both negative and positive values but in different formats like
    • 0 to +127
    • -1 to -128
Not sure why it would use signed though as I don't believe you can set it to a negative value. Can't say I've ever tried :)
