[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)][This guide has been assembled by sizeable team of professionals in this field.][/background]

[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Each item, has been assessed by a group of people qualified in everyday trading, in these items for an extended period of time.
Their input has been a collective, and averaged between them for fair market values.[/background]

THE PURPOSE - For ALL Users [YOU CAN NOW PRICE YOUR OWN WEAPONS AND ARMOR]
  • This guide is going to make Weapons and Armor Trading, user friendly. This means that all players can be involved in not just purchasing, but also pricing their own weapons and armor. This will move the Rare Items market, significantly faster.
  • This guide will reduce fluxuations in value, based on events and time of year. This will become fluent, and consistant.
  • This can highlight a part of the market neglected. This has been attempted many times, but not fulfilled. There are no guides on this, to date.

UPDATE: I have to take a break from this project. Too many irl things happening rn. Will keep up work completed, but cannot give this my attention rn. 3/20/22

NOTE FOR DBK's - ACCURACY IS THE DRIVING FACTOR FOR VALUE.
IF A DBK is high in Accuracy but low on damage, weigh it in the middle, but lean a little up on value.

Please note: "Collector" value reasoning.
Keep in mind, some items are extremely rare (And have gone through recent changes.) They do not trade enough, for a "Fair market value" to be established. Other items like DBK's - we have dealers who only deal in the extremely top end, and can establish a value for that. This is also a free market to a degree, and this guide will provide helpful insight. We will continue to update.

Congratulations team! I'm very proud of our work collectively.
Every member here deserves their own large thank you, but I cannot do any of them justice. This has been their undertaking, and its been a large one.

Special thank you to Andyman, who has also helped us start our graphs.

[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]The backstory:[/background]

[/background]

Many have attempted this. Andyman, as an example, had studied the auction market for a long time. The problem was, it took far too long, the concept of an auction created the results to be erratic, and changes made the marketplace even more volatile than during the study.

Conflict?
Yes. Those who want the constant variances to sell for a very high markup, advocate not having a guide. I believe the needs of the many, outweigh the greed of the few, no matter how much weight they hold in the community. (You know who you are.)

Wow Baron, honestly surprised me, awesome idea, awesome guide tho, can't wait to see whats next there and how it will change our market.

I'm not refusing to contribute due to greed, I don't trade weapons or armour. I don't believe in trying to define some arbitrary set price scale for items.
Monarch [2044600]
This isn't a set price scale, if you actually read what Baron wrote you'd see that it's the average of many sellers in the armor market. It's just to give players an idea of what to expect for their armor/weapons.
SeaLion [250755]
Well I actively do trade weapons and armor, and while the main problem with establishing a value scale is wild fluctuations in value. I have in the past made several guides for my faction on what stats for weapons and armor you should buy, and how much that will cost you.

Even going as far to establish a build guide based on independent user NW with weapons and armor being no more than 8% of total NW for the battle loadout.

These guides quickly became outdated, and I would need to publish a new one every 6 months or so.

By doing this I have noticed several trends, got several deals on underpriced items, and learned rough average values for high stat items.

The items with the greatest variation would be combat armor ranked 40-41. Once upon a time 41's sold for 80-200m, and even 40's could fetch 10-15m a piece. Now though with all the traders/runners 40 may as well be trash, and 41's can be found for great prices.

Armalites have grown in popularity, and thus in price. Always the defacto weapon until you can afford a GAK nothing outshines it in battle until then for your day to day player. More people are seeking out 70+ damage 60+ accuracy "good" armas. The price has gone from 1-200m a few months ago to a solid 300m+ from what I have seen on the market.

DBK and Macana is probably the next most popular item, and the market for good stats on these have fetched prices 800m+ for the cream of the crop.

Flexible body armor dipped to about 600m for 46's after full body armor skyrocketed to 15-200m for 35+ based on stats. Then after your research and simulations the flexible market grew in demand, and 46+ returned back to their comfortable 1B+ for 46+ market.

Moto helmets have more than doubled in the last 6-12 months. Where last year a 34.4 I sold for 650m now would sell for 1.5B+. People are becoming aware of the phenomenon of face coverage.

Welding helmets finally got their long awaited patch for flash bangs, and instantly increased in value from 2.5B to 3.5/4B for bottom rung 34 welds.

I don't view this project as a definition of value as much as I do a guideline. A lot of players have no idea about weapon and armor values in general. A lot of players looking to get "good" weapons and armor approach me with NO IDEA of how much it does or should cost. If I was an unscrupulous individual I could use this to my advantage. Instead I try to educate them on how much items of certain ranges cost, and establish a budget they would like to work with.

This guideline we are working on has input from several people that actually trade weapons and armor on an almost daily basis for an extended period of time. Well versed on the value of the items, the length of times items take to move, and which items they would like to focus on...

This will also serve as a checks and balance system. Where I know of a few "traders" that mark their items up drastically and lowball on all of their offers terribly. This guideline will bring power to item runners to not get screwed when selling, and it will bring power to players to not be screwed when buying.

That being said I expect a lot of the lower stat items to shift down quite a bit in value as time continues to go on. The great "unicorn rare" items will always maintain a value. If I were to make a blanket statement that 42.00 combat armor of any piece is worth 200m that statement has been true for the last several years, and will likely be true a few years down the road.
Proxima [1879587] Wiki Editor
it was pitched to me as "we MUST COME UP WITH A WAY TO DEFINITIVELY PRICE ITEMS!!!" like a year or so ago, and I refused, that's what happened. Whether it's been softened to a guideline, or its become more refined in how it finds prices, whatever, but yeah baron decided to subtweet me so I responded to it. And then he pretended it totes wasn't about me in PMs, even tho he came in PMs and indicated it was precisely about me
BaronVonDude [2169790]
Whats funny is that nobody here even knew you were asked.

LOL

So there is that...... But sure. Put a spotlight on yourself again.
Think everyone is used to you doing that now after 22k Comments.

Seems you cant keep your opinions out of anything tbh.

IF YOU'D LIKE to troll a thread, please keep it in GD or Faction Discussion.
To troll a guide, is an insult to the people working on something you clearly have no interest in.

Its disrespectful to the team, and poor taste.
