Myself and my partner play on the same IP and in the early days we shared a device (simply cos he said he’d never use a pc or iPad), yes I took very ill once and he didn’t log out from me and we were classed as multis. Talked with staff (not a great experience), massive forum post, and we were changed to what it was, account sharing (no matter how accidental).
He now has his own pc, and iPad…no issues at all.

It's really not as scary as you think, I used to share the same device with another player back in the days when I was poor. You'll be fine as long as you don't do any funny business.
