I've been trying to buy the Afro Comb from SA for over a month now. Every time I land there are no combs left. EVER. Why are people buying all of them for? I just need ONE(1) comb to get my souvenir merit. Seriously I saw them all the time before I found out I need it for the merit. As soon as I found out I needed it, poof, it disappeared.
Where did the Afro Comb roam to?

I heard you have to train up your speed and put all merits into awareness now
This^^ plus praying, gives a higher chance too
I bought a yucca plant and got my souvenir merit
Why not buy a souvenir from another destination?
I will sell you an afro comb and you can pretend you got a merit for it.
There is a merit for buying your perfect souvenir. This varies from person to person, but his could be the afro comb.
As to answer OP's question, the respawn time depends on how long it takes to deplete. So if it took a really really long time to deplete, it would also take a really long time to respawn.

I was under thr impression there was more than 1 potentially per person. Maybe I'm mistaken.
Funny the game would pick that for you.
IIRC there's only 1 item for each person and it has to do with maybe the first or last digits of your ID.
last two and it's pretty much confirmed to be accurate.
Takes 2-3 months to sell 500 units. Thus need to wait at least 2 months before it replenish in SA.

I finally got one today! I was afraid it'd be a lot longer. Thanks for the advice everyone!
Why are people buying all of them for?
The exact same reason that you're buying them for
