As a new player, I've been browsing the various tabs and areas of Torn, and the one that made the biggest impression, and not in a good way, was the Trade Chat tab. The constant flow of botlike posts, tinyurl posts and overuse of emojis made the entire Chat basically unusable. I believe this could be greatly mitigated by limiting identically worded posts to 6x per player per day, and banning external links and excessive emoji use.

Lol, 6x per day. Or, you could just disable the trade chat box and not use it.

This idea would be to make it useful for trading and not just hiding it from view.
limiting it to 6 posts a day would not make it useful for trading.
Also, those external links usually link to torn-related web sites, that usually house traders price lists. The sites offer many tools that are extremely beneficial for traders, like the above mentioned price lists, the ability to quickly total the value of a trade according to said price list, and even will send a receipt to the buyer after trades. All functions that Torn itself doesn't do.
So while your suggestions would certainly drastically cut down the traffic through the trade chat, probably to the point of being no sense in using it, disallowing external links would create a situation to where everyone just made a forum post with their external link, and posted the link to the forum in the chat. As for emojis, yeah, I dont care, disallow them completely as far as im concerned.

Aheh, no. There's a 60 second cooldown for chatting in trade to begin with, AND a reduced character max. And outside links are allowed everywhere, as long as the link goes to an appropriate site (no p-hub links and shit). If you don't like trade chat, don't use it. And don't get started about "how am I going to advertise then??" when you're literally in the forums
