WEEKLY XANAX BETTING GAME
I'm back again with another attempt at a forum game. I'd like to try something new and turn it into a weekly community event here in Torn. If there is enough interest, I may run it more frequently, but we'll start with weekly for now. The concept is simple: bet on a number from 0 - 9, then we'll let the Torn City Raceway determine the winning number.
HOW TO PLAY
- Each bet costs 1 Xanax.
- Send your Xanax to Hopslam and include the number(s) you want to bet on in the message.

You can place multiple bets at once by sending multiple Xanax in the same transaction.

Example (for 10 bets/xanax):

message 5 bets on number 2, 3 bets on number 7, 2 bets on number 9.

You may bet a maximum of 100 Xanax.
- You may bet on multiple numbers.
- You may bet on the same number multiple times to increase your share of the payout if that number wins.
- You may even bet on all 10 numbers, but doing so does not guarantee a profit.
(I suggest that you post your bets in the thread, but it's not necessary. You will also be able to check your betting information in the summary before the race.)
BETTING & WINNING NUMBER
Betting closes every Sunday at 23:00 TCT.
After betting closes, I will post the finalized betting summary information.
Between 23:00 and 23:45 TCT, I will create a random custom race in the Torn City Raceway with the game name in the title.
You do not need to enter the race, but you are welcome to enter it. The 1st-place finishing time determines the winning number, so this can't be manipulated or personally selected by me.
The last displayed digit of the finishing time is the winning number.
Example:
00:29:12 = Winning number: 2
PAYOUTS
After the winning number is determined:
- I will calculate the payouts and distribute the Xanax to the winners accordingly.
- A 2% host fee, rounded down, will be taken from the total pool, with a minimum of 1 Xanax.
- The remaining Xanax becomes the payout pool.
- The payout is divided among everyone who bet on the winning number, based on their share of the total bets placed on that number.
I will post a screenshot below of the payout spreadsheet showing an example of how this calculation works, using an example of 172 bets.
POST GAME GIVEAWAY (if applicable)
Individual payouts are rounded, so the total paid out may be slightly different than the calculated payout pool.
Any remaining Xanax from rounding will be added to a post-game giveaway; I will post the participation details after the game.

Betting opens: After the previous game is completed
Betting closes: Sunday at 23:00 TCT
Race: Sunday Between 23:00–23:45 TCT
Winning number: Last digit of 1st-place race time
Bet: 1 Xanax
Maximum: 100 Xanax per player
Numbers: 0 - 9
