Right now RWs are basically "who can click the fastest wins" kinda deal.
RWs get especially boring when both sides are completely focused on turtling up. If both sides got mercs, it's just not worthwhile to try to withstand a push. You can just hosp yourself the moment your opponents go full hog on you while your mercs take care of your offline folks to deny them the respect gain and you can instead coordinate a push for 15-30 minutes later. This is not fun.
The game should encourage both factions to push each other at the same time because that's when warring gets really fun.
Staring at a screen with one hand on F5 and other on the mouse counting miliseconds is not fun.
I'm not really suggesting a solution just pointing out a problem but either something needs to be done about merc stuff or a new mechanic to encourage both factions to push each other actively in a war.
