Seem to be able to replicate by repeat clicking the 'yes' on the confirmation 'nag' resulting in multiple paymets.

If you are sure you unequipped both weapons and armor when doing this mission, I would do a bug&issues report, that may answer why this mission failed. I don't think it's possible to say the Wiki is wrong without this info

Agreed; Something doesn't look quite right - the wiki was edited Dec 22 to reflect API changes, now appears the API returns are different to what was being returned then. Will post in Wiki Discord, maybe can get a little clarity on what the true figures should be
Edit: Checked Gym API and received same figures as you did, with Legs, Bums and Tums; Wiki: - 5.5 5.5 5.7 and API returning 0,5.6,5.6 and 5.8.
