You could take an education course to learn how to brew beer, different kinds (lager, stout, etc) that would all have obvious different bonuses (+nerve, life/etc). The beers could then be sold/traded/sold in bazaars/etc.
Introducing a brewing skill for the more complex and rewarding bonuses added onto the alcohol could balance out everyone brewing the best and most rewarding stuff straight away. Introduce time for it to be brewed, e.g 3 days for a batch, maybe a week?

When I click on "Contact" (which is up there with "News/Forums/Contact/Help") it does not bring me to any other page other than the torn.com/index .. is this happening to other people? I have tried across several devices and several browsers to no effect..
Another one - when I click on the A on the right hand side to add images font etc it just brings me back to the forums?

I've been playing this game for years and always do what I can for newbies (drop 'em FHCs, drug packs, help 'em with cash etc) and thought I was doing the same for Sassy. Totally turned me off helping newbies for a while but I'm back to it.

Sassy is easily one of the worst people on this app. She'd try anything for a scam. Went full blown pure toxic as well and start blaming her behavior in an online game on a family member passing away.
