I recently attempted to change my password to something a bit more secure, and it appeared to have gone through, but I was unable to sign in with it. I had to reset my password and change it to something shorter.

Increasing the limit to 30 characters or so would be nice. More security never hurts.

How do crime success rates work? · · 1 like

I've been attempting to get all of the merits for the crimes category, and just finished getting to 5,000 "other" crimes when I switched up to theft crimes. I'm already over half way there so why not. Trouble is I'm having a somewhat high failure rate for these crimes now. Before I started my merit spree, I was doing drug smuggling missions with ease - and now I'm getting tossed into jail for a 4-nerve theft crime?

How does this work?

I've recently gotten to class A, and was disappointed to see that official races are nearly dead. I was waiting in a race lobby by myself for several hours before any players showed up at all, and it was only three of us that eventually raced.

I have an idea that I believe would revitalize racing in A class if implemented.

A racing circuit.
An official event that happens once a week where players go through a series of races in order to win a large and meaningful prize (10,000 points?). Multiple tracks including dirt and pavement need to be completed in elimination-style rounds in order to advance to the next race in the series. Not the most detailed idea, but I think you get the point.

It took me a few months to get from E class to A class, only to find it dead. A weekly series that resulted in a large prize would certainly bring back players who have stopped bothering with the racing feature.

Attempting to buy an annual subscription · · 0 likes

Hi, I'm attempting to buy an annual donator subscription with Paypal. Here's my experience:

Using the Desktop site:
On the Donator House page, I click "Annual Subscription".
In the bottom left, I click the "Buy with Paypal" button.
I am then taken to: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr - A very outdated-looking page.
From here, the only real option is to click the yellow "Log In" button.
This takes me to https://www.paypal.com/signin/...
I sign in.
I am taken to my Paypal overview page.

That's it. That was the result on 3 separate occasions - except now, as I was typing this up, it finally worked.

So I'm not in need of assistance, but there are obviously some issues with this process to look into.

I was only taken to that page on the fourth attempt, as I was typing this report. The previous three times clicking the yellow log in button took me to https://www.paypal.com/signin/... and after signing in there it just took me to my PayPal dashboard I came back to Torn and tried again 2 more times, same result.

Good trade.

How do crime success rates work? ·

Yes, but I'm asking why I've been able to do these crimes before with a 100% success rate, and then when I switch to other crimes it seems as though that success rate is reset. Like if I were to go back to dug smuggling crimes right now, I would probably fail them. Why? Why does it seemingly reset?
