The media has double standards here. They vilify the alt right for one death and brand them all as racist. But when Black Lives Matter kills white people, the media is silent and doesn't condemn them or call all BLM supporters racist. When BLM attacks and kills white people just because they're white, you don't get the media outrage on the same level as we've seen recently. Imagine the media pressuring Trump into condemning the racist BLM supporters for the murders they've committed. Yeah, I can't imagine that happening either.

Let's bring some common sense into this discussion. If people are fleeing a war torn country like Syria, they'll be happy to be in refugee camp in a safe neighbouring country like Turkey. Just ask yourself, why, just why are they travelling all the way from a safe place like Turkey to get to western Europe? And think about all the safe space between Turkey and western Europe! You also need to ask yourself why about 75% of these so called refugees coming into western Europe are adult males. If where they came from is so dangerous, why are their women and children still back home or in refugee camps in Turkey?

It sure is a nice feature to view all submissions this year in order of score.

But can we spare a thought for those who aren't in the top half of the Mr and Ms Torn lists? People could have serious self esteem, body image and mental health issues and them being ranked near the bottom isn't going to help their situation. The last thing we need is a popularity contest pushing people over the edge.

Is there anyone else who thinks this is an issue?

Perhaps replace the 'All Submissions' list with a 'Top 50% Submissions' list? Or just order the 'All Submissions' list by time approved instead of score?

If an inactive person has a name I want to claim,
- How do I take their name? Do I contact a staff member or submit a player report on the inactive player?
- How long does a person need to be inactive for before I can submit a request to take their name?

I'm trying to get my Qsz-92 pistol to 100% weapon experience but it's taking ridiculously long. I've done a huge number of attacks with it but it looks like it's taking longer than other weapons to get experience. It's currently on 78% weapon exp and has been somewhere between 72-74% exp since the new year (done at least 400 attacks using the Qsz-92 since the new year). For comparison, I have a Mag-7 shotgun (90% weapon exp right now) but barely use and it gains exp much quicker than the Qsz-92.

Questions:
- Are pistols harder to gain weapon exp on than other weapons?
- How to gain weapon exp faster?
- Do weapon mods influence weapon exp gains?

IT help desk jobs are fine depending on the the company that you're in. You'll pick up a lot of useful all round general IT skills and will learn how to be a better communicator. You'll have to communicate with internal and external customers so it could be fun if you like talking to people.

You'll be kept busy and will be expected to respond to issues promptly. Good thing about it is that if you can't solve an issue, pass the ticket on to another team (the 2nd line) to deal with it.

It's a good way to get your foot in the door in IT. There are good career paths for most IT jobs.

I graduated with an engineering degree a long time ago. I used CAD to create tons of construction drawings for my degree. People who get jobs as CAD Technicians are known as CAD monkeys. CAD monkeys do not design construction drawings. They're given hand drawings by more senior architects/engineers to do the CAD drawings on computer for them. You won't be designing buildings or spaces if you haven't got a degree in a field like architecture or interior design. You'll be drawing other peoples' designs on computer. CAD is repetitive and tedious. If you want to use your brain, this isn't what you should strive for as it's repetitive.

If you still want to be a CAD Technician, just bear in mind that you're competing with civil engineering and architecture graduates for CAD technician jobs. An architecture graduate is more likely to be employed by an architecture firm as a CAD monkey than a random CAD Technician as the firm can promote them to an architect position in the company later on. Your grade 8 CAD experience isn't going to impress employers unless they're related to you. There probably is some sort of CAD Technician training if you really want to get into the field.

What's stopping you from using your brain in the cooking world? Why not work your way up to a head chef, Michelin chef etc . They're well respected, have lots of responsibilities, make a lot of money and use their brainpower a lot.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that people not in the top 50% would suffer the same issue as someone on the last page of the All Submissions list. It gives everyone in the bottom half equal hope.

If you're in the bottom 50% and not know where you stand you'd tell yourself, "Hey, it's fine, I'm probably not the ugliest guy in Torn". But if you're dead last you'd think you're the ugliest guy in Torn.
