Torn forums are scary for some. Some are afraid to post, and I wish others were afraid to post. Many warn you against posting because "le big bad"

However, there is no big bad. People may disagree, you may get downvotes, but ultimately nothing will happen. If people go after you for something you said, just back away for a minute and they'll be gone in a minute. There are a few exceptions but those are extreme, and if you're the type that's nervous about posting, you already have the self-awareness to not do one of those things. The only people I've went after hard were for legitimate sexual harassment or similarly extreme offenses.

So to the other point...AI. Listen dudes, AI is NOT going to help you understand the community, rewrite your post so we accept it etc. It's going to do the EXACT opposite. Many of us can spot it, and we hate it. It's better to have iffy grammar, and a bit of a messy post than AI. We're here for HUMAN interaction, despite it being "you" rewritten by AI, it strips away your personality from the post and it's really obvious.

Social interaction is no different than weightlifting, you gotta get past the awkward bit and just do it to get better at it or at least comfortable with it. In a world more and more bombarded by politics and AI, Torn is one place where both are to a degree limited (outside P&L) we value the human aspect, the imperfect aspect, the personalities. If not, we'd be arguing with propaganda bots on Reddit.

You're welcome here, AI is not. Don't be afraid to post, or be yourself. Most importantly DO NOT have AI review your post, it strips away your personality. If your only concern is grammar, try out Grammarly. AI that only checks English on the surface (also good for real life work stuff).

It's okay to make a mistake, say something stupid etc. No one is going to actually come at you in any significant way. In fact, in a world where people are increasingly withdrawing from social interaction and the value of being good at it is increasing, I'd say you should post more. Take your licks if you say stupid shit, and keep going. If not here, then where?

  • If you want a forum auction make a thread, link to it, and continue on.
• Your starting bid is higher than a buyout should be set for that weapon.
  • Milkor 85% went for 22.55b years ago when normal wars were much more popular. It features 6 round reloads. It's worth more than this at 1:1 and the value is certainly lower today than it was when when extended merc payments could create 24b in value within 2 years at the time. So yeah the % is higher, the base weapon makes it difficult for most to use effectively though. If they were free and someone said pick one, almost all, if not everyone would pick the Milkor.
• Prices for RW weapons simply aren't as high across the board as they once were.

TL;DR Use auction house, create an auction thread. But don't keep bumping for unrealistic bids here, and yes 25b starting bid is absolutely unrealistic and would be incredibly high for a buyout. Not only is it not priced to sell, it's not priced for anyone to even bid on. Beyond that, if you don't want to sell it, then don't. 25B starting bid is the silliest shit I've seen in a while though.

I get not wanting to entertain trash bid spam, but 25b floor is an equally trash number from your end. As someone that bid over 20b for the Milkor, this thing is not that. Oh and if by some miracle 25b is actual current bid, you should drop that thing before the buyer gets brain surgery and changes their mind. But since you didn't mention it as current bid I'm assuming it's not (and cause no one sane would pay that).

On the subject of buyouts, they're for FOMO, getting people to pay slightly more than you think it'd go for in a bidding war on the chance someone else might get it first. 20B buyout would be high for this weapon, 15B might be good enticement to get someone to leap. I'd aim for 15b buyout but I doubt anyone would blame you for TRYING a BO as high as 20b. Your starting ask is somehow higher. You got a good pull, you should take the win and set realistic pricing to cash in on it.

I'll just re-iterate that a 3x1 last hit weapon is incredibly difficult to use effectively so your buyer pool will be a lot smaller than for most weapons and the buyer pool while wealthy, is savvy players that are very selective with where they put their money and how much of it.

Participants must create an original Reel of maximum 15 seconds that creatively depicts a historical moment, character, event, or landscape related to the Independence of Mexico. The content may incorporate elements of the present day, as long as it remains respectful toward national history, its figures, and symbols.

 

This contest is a wonderful opportunity for students to explore Mexican history in a modern, creative, and engaging way while developing teamwork and digital storytelling skills.
