Not sure if this has been discussed. The 72 hour wait for crimes to self-destruct is fine for general maintenance of the list, but I would like to be able to manually delete the crimes that we will never be doing. I want to reduce the clutter on the Recruiting tab so people can find the crimes they need to join.
Right now it's on and off: give out faction money or not. Suggested change.
Layers of access
- No faction vault access. This is the Default
- Give money to yourself, limited max is your positive balance amount
- Give money to self or others, limited max to the positive balance amount
- Give money to self or others, unlimited (default for Leader)
Open up the pet shop again. Let us buy and breed puppies and train them into big strong fighting dogs, and then fight them for money like in the old days.
We had a Window of Opportunity crime pay out strangely. There was no money distributed, so I think a member selected the $0 option. Tthe painting was given to one of the members -- it didn't go to the vault -- but the Shabti sculpture did go to the vault. I'm post screenshots of the faction logs to show what we saw. Is that how it should work?

You can see above the value of the Painting is $0.
The Crime log shows that the Sculpture and the Painting were deposited into the faction armory. Strangely, the 0x Buddha and 0x Ganesha items are also listed as part of the split.

But only the Sculpture ended up in the Loot area of the Armory. The log shows that the Painting was given to a member as payment for the OC while everyone else got nothing.

I had Oromekar send me the painting so it could be sold and the money was split between them all manually. But what a pain. It shouldn't work like this, right?

Insulting replies are what I have come to expect from these forums, but I'll reply because yours is a piss poor counter and I'd like to be clear about it. The faction vault is already a limitless personal vault. This suggestion wouldn't change that. Player balances are tracked for a reason, only as it is now someone has to hand out the cash. This would simplify the means of withdrawal, making it more self service for those who want that.
I get that Ched may have already said no to something like this, and if that is true, then I respect that. He's the man.
Does that matter? Discuss it, or don’t. Admins can ignore it or not. I don’t really care. It would save me and my bankers some time, make faction money management more efficient and secure. But it’s whatever.

Saying in effect "if you do not know how it works, don't do it" is a textbook unhelpful zinger. I expect more from admins.
Anyways, you are pretty much making my point for me. The fact that the system cannot break down single items into 5 parts and "is pretty much useless in such cases" shows that there is a design flaw. There are crimes that have fewer items to divide, and a proper UI would prevent such logic paths from being traveled.
Thanks for the condescending response. This seems like it was designed for situations when there are more items than players, but breaks down when there aren't enough to go around. It makes no sense to randomly give someone a painting -- who would want that? Close the bug report, fine. Consider this a suggestion for UX improvement.

I started having this issue when using Chrome, hours-long loop that never resolves. It has been days and still not working. Other websites are fine. I had to switch to Firefox for now. Chrome is hosed for me at torn.com.
Been saying this since it rolled out.
Currently, gun mods can only be gotten in the mission shop and they cannot be transferred between players. Add the ability to send or trade these items to other players. This open up a new untapped black market to buy/sell these items.

Just had a crime succeed but not payout the cash it promised.

I know a change to the spawning engine is in the works, but I want to bring this to devs attention again. Half my faction can't participate because of the crimes we are getting. We just yesterday got a level 1 for the first time in about 2 weeks. Our faction has a mix of experience throughout and the bottom half are being left out. Feel free to use us as a testing model for future crime distribution. I doubt we are an outlier.

And beta is meant for feedback like this, so that things can be adjusted BEFORE it goes live. If you don't understand that, that's on you.
I'm sure there is a solution being discussed. With no crimes to join that have any reasonable chance of success, my team is losing interest fast.

Now that we have been using the new system for a few months, we have dozens of OCs under our belt. The one problem we have is that the level of the OCs that spawn are too high for most of our members to participate in. We get a lot of 8s which we have not yet accomplished, so we are focusing on 7 and below for now. But we aren't getting near enough of the level 3-6 that would allow 2/3 of my faction to participate. It's frustrating tbh. People are losing interest in the new system because they can't take part.
This may have come up before, so apologies in advance if its a repeat question. In a 126 page post, I don't have time to read through it.
We are seeing that the lower level crimes 1-3 are spawning less often now as we have worked up to level 6-8. We currently have none below level 4 in Recruiting, and our lower level members are being left out of crimes since fewer of the easier ones are spawning. For factions with a roster that spans low and high level players, it seem to be an issue. Is that being addressed at all?
