A seasoned drug taker does not just suddenly just take 'a few' and OD and go to hosp for 3 days. An OD is not a random thing - especially with industry created pharmaceuticals. It's a standard dose.
Without rehab, you should need more to get the effect.. like real life. You take one, if it doesn't have the desired effect, then you have an option to take more to get it.
If you chase it too far, then you OD. If you rehab or abstain, your tolerance should go down so you require less.
There is a fine line to walk between drug use and abuse, and this game belittles it by simply randomizing and slapping a price tag on it.
This may have been mentioned before, but how about an event / email when you get the bonus from the McSmoogle block? Every other benefit block seems to send an email letting you know when you've received a bonus.
If you spin the wheel and can see its going to land on a hosp, just before it does, click somewhere else like the 'Properties' button on the navigation bar to go to a different page.
You will not be hosped and can play normally (I've tested for a few minutes) - but if you go back to the casino and click on the wheel, then you will be hosped.
