I am not really one for doing achievement threads but this one has been quite close to my heart on Torn over the past few years.

To reach top 10 in profits has been a goal of mine especially since the new Poker stats were introduced and today I feel very proud to say I have reached this goal !

Towards the earlier years in Torn, I would play Poker purely recreationally and I was a loss making player on average.

But I knew I was interested in poker and wanted to learn learn more so I decided to approach Vernunzio. who as seen above is amongst the leaderboards also - He is highly skilled player who is very polite, approachable and you can tell he has a passion for his craft.

About 2 years ago, I asked for some advice from him because I was honestly getting tired of losing money and he directed me to a an eye-opening Poker book titled 'Harrington on Cash Games' and so I remember ordering the book immediately and downloading a PDF copy as I waited in the meantime. From time-to-time I would also discuss specific hands with him which helped me to improve and apply the motto of 'gaining the maximum and losing the minimum' when playing a hand.

This book, combined with watching a tonne of 'Hustler Casino Live' and finally PRACTISE, PRACTISE and MORE PRACTISE on the tables lead me here after around 2 years to finally reach this achievement of mine.



I want to do an SE giveaway - a Boxing Glove and a Parachute sitting in my Display Cabinet - to celebrate this momentous occasion.
