Players who are not currently affiliated with a company or faction often find themselves inundated with messages from Directors and Faction Leaders. Donators are able to use the advanced user search to search for user's not part of a company or faction and directly message users aiming to recruit them.
However, this approach can be inconvenient for both the directors sending these messages and the players receiving them. Directors invest time and effort into reaching out to potential recruits, while recipients may find their gameplay experience disrupted by unsolicited messages.
One director compared the current method as "Handing out flyers in the middle of a city centre." This is very accurate. It would make much more sense to be handing out flyers to people at the job centre.
Preposed Solution
To address this issue, I propose the implementation of an Opt-In feature for receiving recruitment messages. This solution entails introducing a new toggle within player profiles labelled "Looking for Work" and "Looking for Faction." By default, players would not receive recruitment messages unless they actively opt-in by enabling the "Looking for Work" toggle.
Donators would retain the ability to search for players not affiliated with any company or faction. However, they would also have the option to filter their search to specifically target players who are actively seeking employment. This empowers directors to focus their recruitment efforts solely on individuals who have expressed an interest in joining a company or faction, thereby optimising their outreach.
Advanced Search:
Furthermore, users could have the option to publicly share their working stats with directors. This voluntary sharing of information could streamline the recruitment process for directors, eliminating the need to request working stats from each potential recruit individually.

Please only respond to this thread if you are a director of a 10* company.
I'm currently compiling a comprehensive guide comparing Torn companies across various types. While public information already covers startup costs, upgrade costs, and base profit ranges, I'm focusing on real-world insights into ongoing costs and net profit, which vary greatly and aren't publicly available.
If you are a company director, I would appreciate if you could respond to answer the following questions.
If you're willing to share, I'd appreciate your responses to the following:
What is your company type?
What is your company popularity?
How much do you typically spend on advertising per day/week?
Do you pay your employees?
If yes, is it a flat rate, based on stats, or a share of profits?
How in demand is your company?
Do you receive a steady flow of applicants or struggle to fill roles?
Do you sell trains or tax company specials?
If so, how much income do you generate from this weekly?
Which specials are most popular or in-demand?
How would you estimate their value per day/week in terms of revenue or employee interest?
(Optional, but helpful:)
What would you say is your average net profit per week?
Is there anything you wish you had known before choosing this company type?
Thank you in advance for your time and insights—your experience will help others make better-informed decisions.

The Results are in: The winner is arithond [3004651] https://www.score7.io/tournaments/gorhkgrmsp/ Thank you to all who participated. This was very popular (albeit entry was free and minimal effort was required to enter) so I will do a paid entry version with the winners taking the entire prize pot. I'll post the link shortly.
You sent 10xXanax to arithond with the message: Rock, Paper, Scissors - Game 1 - Winner!
I'm not too bothered about this but +1 for adding all the feedback to the OP.
I remember a suggestion was implemented not too long ago, and there was lots of discussion around other things that should be put in with the suggestion, such as a toggle.
The suggestion was implemented without the toggle and there was a lot of pushback. The changes were rolled back after a few days and the feature is no longer implemented.
You coukd argue that the admins should consider ramifications before implementation, but it's definitely better if the suggestion is as fleshed out as possible.
I think it is safe to assume that the rarity odds are the same for weapons (Yellow 90%, Orange 9%, Red 1%.)
Given that all the weapons have an equal chance of dropping, I would assume all the bonuses have an equal change of dropping. This seems especially true since double bonus weapons have previously spawned with incompatible bonuses.
They will not tell us quality and bonus ranges but the data is out there.
Currently, clothes and equipment only show during attacks and there only real purpose is to hide armor. The attacker is not really looking at the other player's clothes.
Can we please show the same avatar on our profiles so that we can show off our clothes?
The avatar would show all currently equipped clothes but it wouldn't show any equipped weapons or armor.
This would make clothes relevant as players could then express themselves on their profile through the clothes which their avatar wears.
Currently the clothes market is non-existent, and given that a lot of clothes caches are given as subscriber rewards, it would be great if clothes were relevant. We are way past Torn being a text-only game.
Doubtful. The EU is cracking down on Loot Boxes, and since Torn currency can be bought with real money all of the supply boxes could be considered loot boxes by some definition. As a result, Torn are taking the proactive measure to ensure that the odds of these loot boxes are published.
NPC Loot or City Finds would not be considered loot boxes and therefore the drop rates do not need to be published
If you think you can run a casino in the forums, then do that? Why are you complaining.
The reasons for the ban are pretty clear.
It prevents scamming. Players or admins have no way of knowing if your casino has any chance of winning at all
At the end of the day Torn is a business and it needs to comply with regulations. If someone becomes addicted to your casino and ends up spending loads of real money, to buy torn money, to use at your casino. Then that could be a huge problem. This already is a problem with the Torn casino but if the money is spent at the Torn casino then there are ways the staff can resolve issues, in a regulated way. They cannot do that if they have instead sent all their money to a random player.
Casinos can be used as actual RMT circumnavigation.
This is still allowed if it is done via newsletters or forums. If it was previously done via Discord then they simply need to make a forum thread for it too.
