Typing works if I go to "source code" but it is impossible to save your work in it from mobile. Cannot paste text from clipboard either.
I have liked "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll since I was a kid, so mine is inspired by the Mad Hatter but also I love the double meaning: Quite Mad >> very insane and Quite Mad >> very angry.

Source code mode is still broken, the box is huge and cannot be saved. It can only be click-dragged to find the close button. Bold text works but italic doesn't.

Yeah, you should go skydiving. Of course it's got a small element of risk but it's much safer than getting in your car every day and driving! No, really, I looked into it. But please don't go jumping at any random place - make sure you get a good place with good word-of-mouth and a big landing area. Some places will cheat by going to the lowest allowable altitude to save fuel. Other places just aren't well-situated, and you have to land into a small area. And yes, you will wait at the skydive place. You aren't allowed to go up if the weather is cloudy, so everyone waits. The best time to get there is early in the morning because if you get there too late and the weather is not with you, you'll have to come back the next day.
Edit: P.S. getting yourself on video or photo is fun and worth it for most people even though it does drive the price up.
R+ What a great idea! I love the Aggravate Patient thing. What happens if the patient is in a shack with 100 happy?
Though I don't know how often "group therapy" would be used. How often do you think four people would simultaneously ask for such a thing? The only case I can think of is if you are in a faction getting chained on and hitting med cooldown, in which case it's better to just stay in hosp. Plus, if you are in a faction then you (should) have revives off anyway.
One of my goals in this game is to become a reviver, but it would be so much better if something like this would be implemented.
So, I have an Android phone and use the Swype keyboard to type - this keyboard does not work in mobile! I literally have to touch one letter at a time s-l-o-w-l-y because it lags behind at least a second for every letter typed. Heaven forbid I try to go back and fix it, that takes even longer. So, I guess I can't really post on forums or send mails or search for things in the item market or even edit my notebook from mobile. I would mention chat, but I've never had chat show up on mobile in old or new versions. Suffice to say, if I did somehow have chat (massively important to the way I play), I still wouldn't be able to type in it with Respo.
Edit: did not mean to hijack the thread. I voted no on compensation because we compete against each other here, so giving out any compensation to all of us at once would not help anyone get ahead and would just mess with the economy.
Use the editor - it's the A button on the top right of the edit thing. To put in images, click Insert > Insert Image. Play around with your profile until you like the way it looks in the editor. Then, to save your work: go to Tools >Source Code. Copy that and save it somewhere safe. Then you close that and "change details" or whatever it's called to save your profile. The next time you go to edit it, it'll be all messed up with the /// and stuff. Do not fear! Go to Tools > Source Code and paste that stuff you saved from last time. It will show up shiny and pretty, and you can make changes from there.
This is a nice step forward. However, just having icons to refer to areas of the game is not a good thing; text labels are much better because they don't make players memorize things Maybe it would be better to have a user-customizable bar with equal-width text labels, and the rest could be in a dropdown. I'd guess the two most common mobile tasks are Gym and Crimes, so why would you clutter the screen with 10 other options a mobile player will never press?
I do like the way that the account information (energy, nerve, etc) is set up.
You may want to do more shoplift > jackets, maybe a few hundred more, before trying to pickpocket. When I was starting out, I stole a lot of jackets before moving up because I was scared of red results.
For mobile, it would be really nice to get rid of the fancy-schmancy buttons and widgets because it doesn't work for a lot of us. It's the curse of so many mobile websites - users want it towork,not look nice but be broken. It is worse since this is a game, and the interface should never hinder player actions. Can you imagine Minesweeper having broken buttons?
Had a buggy time editing my profile signature. It was ok at first, but when I pressed save, it generated lots of ////////r ///////n at the end of each line. Then, I redid the profile using the interface, and saved. Looks ok, except there's a funny character there. Oh, should be easy to just erase it... No, it has lots of //////// in every field pertaining to the images. Gotta fix each of those one by one, and now... now I just know not to go and edit things anymore unless I'd like to redo the whole thing every time.
Oh, and goddamn chat keeps disappearing, especially around :00, :45, etc. Half the time I can't open a private chat to another player, even if the other chat is working. It's frustrating.
I can't get the number of items in stock to show on mobile either, and I pushed all the buttons I could think of. Hope that gets fixed eventually. Thanks for making travelrun work with Respo, ebcdic! I am glad that at least I can still flower run effectively.
Fantastic guide, R+. Question though - when you were researching this, were you in a faction with any kind of hermetic benefit? When calculating our percent addiction with hermetic, should we just apply the percent decrease to the numbers you listed?
