Status of RIP Players shows as Federal · · 41 likes


Hello!

Maybe this is how it's suppose to be, but seems odd. I noticed this with the passing of Phil that he shows on the Faction page and on the Friend's list as being "Federal" and well if someone had a departed player on their enemy list same issue.

Not sure how hard it would be, but "Federal" is associated with things not positive about a player's actions, and it seems that players that we know that have passed should have a different designation than Federal due to the negative connotations with that. Seems like it should read RIP or something like that if that is possible in the coding.

Co-Leaders should be also able to process NAPs · · 157 likes


Restricting the ability to sort out NAPs to just between Leaders creates problems. Leaders and Co-Leaders are collaborative partners consistently trying to work together as a team and cross-cover each other in the day-to-day operations of a faction. None of us can or wants to be here 24/7.

It's unclear to me why this one feature is restricted to Leaders only and I've spoken with a number of factions that find this inconvenient.


Can we please change this so that either Leaders or Co-Leaders, any combination, can request and process NAPs?

Just want to thank everyone who did and continues to bump and positively comment on this suggestion. It's a good and logical things for the game.

Chain Information Lacking - Need Visual · · 32 likes


BUG - PROBLEM:

With changes to chaining, it's difficult to pick up the visual cues that a chain is in Cool Down versus it's about to Time Out and the chain to drop. I debated on whether or not this was a Bug or a Suggestion, but due to the dramatic shift in game play, this really seems like a communication bug. The information being more prominent for all players would be a tremendous help.

When members log on and assume they are helping their team by knocking off hits, only to find out they are hampering the team's efforts and wasting their energy it can cause unnecessary frustration.

SOLUTIONS:

1) Chain in Cool Down -- Color the chain Red signaling "stop" (just a sample, I know this chain isn't actually in CD)

2) Chain Alert for when it's 1 minute to a time out, but has not dropped and not in Cool Down phase-- Color the chain Yellow signaling "warning"

This idea came up when I was talking with Lord_Gorgen, as he was remarking on the problem.

Can’t say I really care either way.  There are two ironies though: one I never thought about until just now speaking with a friend here.

 

  1. the F word has lost its shock value, as it’s used so much everywhere.  However, when you censor it out, it suddenly stands out because your brain has to solve it - in what is probably nanoseconds, but it still has to happen.
  2. Duke isn’t censored or other NPC’s.  This is comical!  Either it’s censored or not and since it has not been, couldn’t Torn writer/s find other language?  Lacks imagination.
