Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

When you call someone a conspiracist you just try to turn their argument into ridicule. But have you ever dealt with the matter at all? Probably not, so don't call me an idiot.

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

It also says "Do you agree with testing drugs on animals?". The facts that it doesn't works/there are alternatives makes it unethically in the first place so this is very on topic. Also "a few hundred bounties" won't make your opinion more valid. But I won't waste more time in this thread, trying to tell you the facts.

@Harsh sorry I should have included a source. I think it was this article: http://www.aerzte-gegen-tierversuche.de/en/resources/general/243-why-animal-experiments-are-not-necessary on the bottom of the page are references, I am not sure if you can find this study in english tho but the article is. Also the pharmaceutical industry isn't really trying to make life saving medicine. They want medicine that keeps you alive but sick (what is pretty logically). But I allready said that and answerd all your other questions in this thread.

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

The title is "Animal Rights Animal Testing" and the poll asks "Do you agree with testing drugs on animals?".
And sure it helps them. They can bring medicine on the market, say they tested it on animals and it worked fine and make some cash. By the way the topic isn't "Make stupid jokes so everyone thinks you are cool". You are the one who changed it.

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

Yes the original topic was about animal rights but to me it sounded like the OP wants the focus on animal testing. So yeah no one really posted anything about ethics but you still wanted to offend people who do? And it's pretty obvious that only the minority of the people who are agaist animal abuse would still eat a bacon cheeseburger btw and I have no idea what reason they could have.
And yeah 'it has always been like this so it must be good' is one of the stupidest arguments ever.

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

There has not been a ethical argument yet, it was about how useful/rational tests on animals are. So it wouldn't tell you anything about their integrity if they did. So whats funny about it?

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

So why would they test them on me if I never had a serious illness? Did you read what I wrote? There are ways to test drugs without using animals or humans.
If I had a serious illness I would volunteer myself, if I believed that it helps and they would try to find a healing. But why should they anyway? Keep them sick and alive as long as possible. healthy people don't buy medicine!

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

Have I ever said anything like that? But yeah tests on humans would be a lot safer. You ever heard of Vioxx? Anyway the point is that there are safe ways to test a drug without using animals or humans. Google it if you are really interested in the topic (what I doubt).

Animal Rights Animal Testing ·

Yeah they are still not humans though... and you also forgot to mention that only less than 1% of the animals that are used for these tests are 'non human primates'.

You all could at least inform yourselves before trying to act cool and manly. Testing drugs on animals is NOT necessary and probably even completely pointless. Animals are very different from humans and the results of these tests are not reliable. Only 5 - 25% of the substances harmful to humans are also harmful to animals. The smart ones of you can probably already imagine who would profit from this. The pharmaceutical industry.

Why am I getting this message? ·

I am not an expert but wouldn't it make more sense to don't store every 'teddy bear' in an individual row but give one row something like a quantity variable? (instead of "Owner, item" "Owner, Item, Quantity") This way the 100k teddy bear would just take 1 row in the database right?
