The Swedish knig (intentional spelling) is kind of funny. Drinking, f**king, smoking and occasionally a funny hat.

I voted against EU but are not really against it as a concept. I am against it forcing economic policies on member states and I am no big fan of EUs shared military resources. The EU needs to be more democratic which to me means remove the council of ministers and put all power with the parliament.

Well, atleast where I'm from there are almost no crimes from an oppressed group targeted against their oppressors with the oppression as a motive. Actually our ethnicaly diverse neighborhoods with a bad reputation has lower crime ratings than rich neighborhoods that are considered safe.

The thing you are missing is the fact that a hate crime is a crime commited to oppress a group of people. Not only because of race but often because of their sexuality or religion and often is politicaly motivated.

I'm parted in this issue. It is said that power grows out of the barrel of a rifle, and to me that means a well armed government should also have well armed citizens. But with that said, I would much rather see my local policeman only carry non-lethal weapons than have to arm myself to deal with conflicts. Now, police have pistols as everyday weapons and some special trained policemen get automatic rifles at special times. (Such as bankrobberies and when they are searching for armed suspects)



I am from sweden, and here we have quite strong laws. Hunters and sportshooters are allowed to own weapons (after obtaining a license for the type) and our national guard is armed with automatic rifle. BUT their rifles are locked by the military and cannot be loaded without the rifle being unlocked by higher ranked citizens from the military. They are also not allowed to keep any ammunition for their rifle in their home. The ammo is stored at a safe location where they will meet up in a case of war.
