Hello, citizens of the strong and enduring city of Torn!
As the year 2016 ends, we contemplate on the random events that have occurred to us such as giveaways from generous patrons, faction wars that decide the fate between factions, unwanted tragedies we dare not to recall again, hostile encounters with trolls and noobs, shenanigans with friends, bounty spams by bounty moguls, interesting updates (thanks Chedburn), and many more. But as we continue to play the game as we usually do, have we ever thought to ourselves if we are actually playing the MMORPG text-based crime game we know (hopefully, that's Torn's actual game genre) as an actual crime game?
To commemorate our active days in the game, let us all post the crimes we have done in the game. Yes, you can post about anything criminal you have committed in-game!
Don't just limit yourselves to the default crimes that the game renders for you; share the most criminal act you did that's related to the game! I look forward to seeing you hoodlums amok. Cheers to a new year of life in crime!
After reading the entire thread, I learned that new players already lose this game by default no matter what: Unless, if they are so hidden and isolated that nobody knew these new players ever existed. Yes, I too had to stay in the hospital every hour. Too many haters in-game. We get punished by newbie hunters for no reason. It works in this game with a few rules anyway. The only way to win the game is to boost those stats so high that even the top players will get amazed by the impossible digits. Give up your hopes in winning the game, sir funnycn [1916297]. But never give up in finding the fun part of this game. There's more fun in pissing off many professional and experienced players than pissing off an unbreakable rival. This game ain't the real world anyway. It's just a game :D Hell brought down to you, you say? Torn City is Hell's second reflection, mate. And this game is cool! xD
As for that scary, shady lunatic threatening you with attacks and bounties, just let that lowlife get his chance to boost his broken ego. I'm sure he had the same experience when he was new to the game. But if you really want to feel good, don't respect anybody in the game. Nobody has the obligation to care for each other in the game. Don't let the fun and games ruin what really matters outside the internet. (Well, hopefully this ain't going to turn into one of those awkward online counselling sessions for the distressed. I am damn sure as Hell that I am not a professional adviser). Happy gaming guys! :D
If flaming is simply all about false accusations against someone, then I think calling a person a scammer is flaming... unless the person is proven to be a scammer.

Nope. Just nope. Want to loot weapons from a defeated enemy? Go play COD or CS:GO. You can do that there all day.
And another thing. You just disrespected the value and integrity of quality weapons in Torn. It takes hard work to get to a high level and to acquire quality firearms. If you are into looting, loot cash instead. Don't be lazy. This game eats your time and patience.

Try Contract Killing! Pay two or more players money to hospitalize a fellow player for a certain period of time!
Example: Pay Player 1 (level 5), Player 2 (level 9), and Player 3 (level 7) $2,240,000 ($50,000+$70,000+$90,000+$110,000)(7 days) to hospitalize Player 4 (level 11) once per day for 7 days. Hospitalization multiplier: Original hospitalization time x Number of contract hitmen that landed hits on target= New hospitalization duration
To keep this system balanced, a maximum of 10 players can participate in one contract. And the player who sets the contract cannot place another contract on the same target until the current contract expires. This feature must only be "unlocked" by players who have set bounties above $50,000,000 (thus means a certain merit is required to hain this feature).
This system is more expensive, yet more purposeful and rewarding.
Of course, this plan needs revisions. Therefore, the current bounty system is alright for now.
Noobs=Mouthy fools, dirty peasants, incompetent citizens, marginalized individuals, infidels, blasphemers, beggars, overconfident idiots, racists, multiple account owners, liars, cheaters, scum, perverts, uneducated people, and verbally abusive communicators. (In short, noobs=players, either with undesirable conduct or undesirable rapport towards experienced players.)
Newbs=Players that are new and are willing to learn proper interaction with fellow players.
Get the difference. You may need to understand the community in a different perspective. Bounty moguls/Egoists eliminate the hostile noobs and protect the friendly newbs.
By the way, I do like the compensatory system for bounty placements. However, it won't tell real noobs to behave.
Side note: Krak does not need to aim; Krak simply places bounties. The silencing bounties, usually for new players that go way above their heads, is justifiable.
I acknowledge. This game needs this system. I bring up no objections. Although, I do feel sorry for those who really mean no trouble. I offer my sincere condolences to the unsuspecting newbies getting unjust bounties as well. It didn't have to go this way all the time. Bounties are there to erase threats. It is part of the game.
If you must be given a high bounty, you must learn to accept the consequences with honor and dignity. The rest of the world will be thankful for your compliance.
