There's a reason most games have china region-locked to their own servers.
The race timer may be needed sometimes, but most races I find myself sitting in a full lobby for 30-45 minutes for the race to finally get started. To fix this problem, the race timer should be canceled when the lobby is filled. That way people could get races in without an hour of wasted time.
EDIT: I just checked, and the race itself takes about 15 minutes to complete. That's about a third of the average wait time that I experience in these lobbies.
You gave me a great idea. To replace elimination, we could have a yearly holy war in torn. A Muslim/Jew/Christian 3 way battle royale. Maybe like a global tert war for a month? Would be pretty cool IMO.

Wouldn't the new wording allow for a bookie site that lets you place bets on in-torn events? Such as elim or URT winners? Would probably be a neat idea, but still off site gambling.

It's all garbage, we all know it's all garbage, but if it weren't allowed in the one board, it'd be spread around every forum on torn.
it's a necessary evil, and without it, the forums would be unusable due to the sheer volume of drivel these people can churn out in the cold depths of their mother's basements.
In short:
P&L is a terrible place and nobody should ever go there.

It seems like "I was quitting" is the torn equivalent of "I was just holding it for a friend." I don't think I've seen a single person say that and actually quit.
