Very nice job nit-picking and missing the argument. :D
But anyways, they teach you in that place called school that it is acceptable to use "he" or even "they" as a general term for the subject if it is of no importance to the central theme of the point being made.
(Oh, and by the way, I can use that same logic against you mate.)
Well, when I started, I thought I could be anything...
The reality is, I'm a pirated-disk selling, money-scrounging, microwave-stealing, hobo-robbing, kidnap-failing, hospital-living, LSD-popping lunatic that often finds himself scrounging in the dump.
Honestly the term feminism is outdated. It showed favoritism towards the female gender in it's very name. At the time, though, that was acceptable. But anyways, onto the topic at hand.
IT DOESN'T HAVE A PURPOSE ANYMORE.
At the time the whole revolution started, there was some serious problems facing equality, as we all know. Women were supposed to run the house, not work, and feed the family. The man was responsible for working, and being the breadwinner. This could be a pain in the ass for BOTH sides. Maybe the man didn't want to work, maybe he wanted to spend his days with his children, while the woman worked. Maybe the woman wanted to work WITH the man. Whatever the case, changes did need to be made.
Those changes were made DECADES ago. Do we honestly believe sexism is still alive in society? And by this I mean on a community standard, and not on a personal one. Sure, there's always gonna be the sexist person or company, but nothing can really be done about the individual besides TRY to change his mind. Keep in mind that if an individual holds these views, you probably CAN'T change his mind. Ignorance tends to do this. The company however, can be brought to justice through the justice system. Easy enough, if you have evidence.
While people in the first world whine and complain about not getting an extra .3 cents, which MAY be due to that individual not being as great a worker, which people tend to not imagine, women in the Middle East are being executed for not being accompanied by men, being ridiculed and tortured for not properly covering themselves, and being considered the closest thing to slaves that we have today.
There are some serious things that need some changing. We need equality in the Middle Eastern countries. We need an end to radicalist ideals and beliefs. We need an end to terrorism. But we do not need to change how things are going for us right now.
WELL, maybe a FEW things. And those things mostly concern men. Did you know that, while men are required to register for the draft as SOON as they turn 18, women do not have to. Now THAT is actually sexism. Regardless of whether we use it as much or not, they should have to sign up, or no one at all. How would you like to have to put your name on that paper? Sure, maybe we don't use it now, but for all we know, one day we might. Obviously women didn't have to sign for the draft back in the day, because remember, their jobs were to run the household. But when the revolution started, and they demanded new rights, they also took on new responsibilities. (Or should have, rather.) Having to fight in a war should be one of them. Because as I see it, this lack of equality shows that the government values female lives more than their male counterparts. Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but regardless, that's what it shows. THAT, is f#cked up. Getting .3 cents less than your male coworker, for reasons that may be legitimate, is not. Not right now, at least. We need to get our priorities straight, and deal with things that deserve to be dealt with first.
I do a bit of campin' here and there. My story is this:
It had happened was when I was a kid. I was all new to it all, maybe five or six. It was a glorious time, we were having a lot of fun, doing the old fashioned cliché's that accompanied family camping. Roastin' dogs, fishing, a bit of hiking, the lot of it. That was, until the cops showed up, arrested both my mom and pop for something I can't quite remember clearly, and left my two brothers and I at the campsite. My Grandma picked us up at around midnight, I believe. So many years ago, but it feels like yesterday.
Still go on expeditions every now and then. My love will never die.
I sided with the Minutemen from the start, as they're really the only faction that's neutral. I did a sort of triple-agent espionage, sticking with the Brotherhood and the Institute as long as I could, to find out everything I could know. But eventually the institute caught wind, so I had to cut it out. Then the Brotherhood was of no more use to me, so I destroyed them. The Railroad already hated me for some reason, so I easily put them in the ground...
You know, before this all started, this horror of a political campaign, I made a theory. It was a theory that I wrote down on a little post-it note, that I pinned to a cork board. It's mystic words have hung there since that day of realization.
I honestly thought that Hillary Clinton had a dislike of video games for a while now. There was not a doubt in my mind. But none-the-less, on that little piece of paper I wrote:
"If Hillary is elected, she will find a way to severely restrict or downright ban mature titles."
I still feel that dark day approaching. The end is near, my friends. Now, I must go cast some dark spell to slow her, but only a hero of epic proportions can save the day, and cast that evil into the abyss.
