so I was tweaking around with these automated signatures, and wanted to know if they calculate a value for XXXX days old NPCs, so I put in Duke and Leslie's IDs, and stumbled onto this:
apparently the value XXXX stands for 12725 days (today, maybe tomorrow it will change to 12726) does anyone know 1. why it doesn't display the real age of the accounts? and 2. why it is 12725?
update: so the number does change, ergo the number 12725 had no significance whatsoever. now the question is only why the number is that high?
The dilemma in the other quote thread gave me an idea, so here is how the game works: take a famous(or not that famous) quote, and slap a different name under it. gives the quote a quite different appeal. For example:
"The truth is that men are tired of liberty." - Abraham Lincoln
or
"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed." - Pope Benedict XVI
guess i'll include prizes too: i'll give out Xanax sporadically, if I really like your fake quote(s)
First off: I only checked the first few pages for something similar, and with forum search as well.
The idea is to give every playstyle a certain edge, and make titles into something more than just a word on your profile. There are so many different kinds of players here, some travel, some love warring, some crimes, some are even dedicated heals. I think it would give titles a certain sort of versatility, more so than being just a word. Realistically, if you do something a lot, you're better at it than others who don't practise that trade as much, right? Ofc the perks should be very small (like an education perk) and well balanced. As I'm not a professional game designer, I can't guarantee good examples, but I thought of something like this:
Antagonist (Defends won) - 1% passive to def Damage Dealer (duh.) - 1% passive to overall dmg Druggy (yeah..) - 1% drug cd reduction Healer (Revives done) - decreases revive cost by 5 ( maybe 5 is a bit op) Importer (items bought abroad) - 1 extra travel item (or maybe 1% less cost for travel items.) Coward (Ran away) - 1% higher chance of escaping ... Some might be a bit tricky, like Trader, or Intimidator(foes ran away), but i think there ought be a solution. Trader could yield a handful of points each month, Intimidator a 1% lower chance of the enemy's escape attempt to succeed, or the other way round, maybe even a higher chance. Ironically, it could give 'negative' titles a boost, for example a Loser(attacks lost) could yield 0.1% gym gains to work the stats (or something less overpowered). ty for reading
if anything, yeah, probably Torn. It's so weird and nerdy, and it doesn't make any sense, but somehow it's just captivating. The meta-game is incredible, like being part of a society simulator.
But that would make them not aliens, What's "coming from the ocean" even supposed to mean? They were born in the ocean, that your theory? Earth's octopusses have learned how to design spacecrafts? Under water?
Might aliens/humans have underground bases in the ocean? That's pretty f**king obvious, ocean's a great hiding spot. But why would they "come from the ocean"? That's just moronic.
Hydrogen powering a spaceship is fun too. Srsly if you had posted the same thing being a dude, people would have flamed you to seven hells. We don't need a conventional "fuel" as it is, that's just stupid. We need a way to bend time & space, in order to survive long trips/make them so short it doesn't matter. You are obviously uninformed about radiation in space. Nobody flying a spaceship for a month or two way outside earth's electromagnetic field would be able to form a single coherent thought. That's what the people flying to Mars are going to learn soon. Radiation and brain waves don't really mix, cosmic radiation will alter and deteriorate your brain waves. I guess that's why so many aliens crashland here.
It doesn't make sense from a medical standpoint. What you're talking about is called Tachyphylaxis, but it doesn't quite work as you seem to think.
It's more or less the opposite with about any drug: side effects get worse, "main effect" gets diminished. Someone dependant on Xanax would not have an easy time taking more Xanax, it's more of a "take the benzo or face armageddon", with the benzo having almost 0 effect anymore, of course. since taking benzodiazepines for a long time over and over means you will die or at the very least get a strong seizure if you miss your hit. If you wanna talk reality, that's it.
Could be that he has his moments once in a while, but what people hate so much is that he would do anything to get attention (being the whipping boy of the entire game = case in point)
It IS funny at times, but not rly the type of trolling i like.
Is there a timetable of when you jackasses dribble all over the forums & when you bitch, moan and go home just to have a so very surprising comeback for 10 likes and your dignity? I'd like to adjust my schedule to when the forums are stink-free.
all powerful galactic reptilian overlord might send bankers after me if I dig any further and discover that great secret that is all over the internet.
1. people can't mug your points. (Yeahyeah you wanna sell some points again, but you still need 50 points a day for refills & another 25 a day if you're a casino addict.)
2. You can trade the sets for points unnoticed by any other player - if you just need points, it's defo the way to go.
3. Sometimes it's nice in this game to do something more complicated than "push this button 20 times"
Some flowers are so not worth travelling for. SA & Dubai are much too long flights, so unless you're going for Hunting Merits or 50 flights merits, it's oft better to just fly to Argentina, or Japan instead and buy the flowers you're missing off the imarket.
edit: I made a graph of ~profit/flower/hour on my laptop to have an overview of which flowers to buy off the imarket & which to travel for. I'll look for it
if you need attack immunity you just self-hosp for 20k using a wrong bloodbag... it's not like that's hard to get  also flying itself is sort of an attack immunity <.< if you react fast enough whenever you land you can be in the sky 24/7 before anyone could even think of attacking you
edit: i really love the idea - i had the same thought a few months ago: If I pay the ****er, he best be flying back to Torn on my goddamn command
also Drugs 2.0 would be another WSSB, I'd bet money on that. People would invest in cheap-ass drugs when it is announced, keep hoarding and hoarding drugs, then sell them for crazy amounts of money in the time window between "other drugs being super overpowered" and "other drugs being nerfed so hard that people just go back to Xanax and all other drugs just fade into insignificance again"..
