Education is a major part of every new member of Torn City, however, after completing all courses it has absolutely no value.
My proposal is to add three repeatable "Master Classes" that are only available after completing the current circuit of bachelor programs. Each class would gain 1,000 work stat over 30 days (~33 stat gain per day). These classes could have a relatively high cost ~ $1m.
Example Classes:
Advanced Cooking Master Class Description: Renowned Chef Rordan Gamsey will yell and insult as you try to cook any food that he does not describe as the worst thing he has ever tasted Learning Outcome: 1. You slowly die inside 2. Gain 1,000 manual labor upon completion Parameters: Length: 30 days, Cost: $1,000,000 Tier: 4
Space and Sh*t Master Class Description: Legendary Teil deGrasse Nyson will blow your mind as he makes you understand that you actually know nothing. Learning Outcome: 1. You realize this class was way too hard 2. Gain 1,000 intelligence upon completion Parameters: Length: 30 days, Cost: $1,000,000 Tier: 4
I Just Ran Master Class Description: For no particular reason, join Gorrest Fump as he goes for a little run coast to coast and back again. Learning Outcome: 1. You decide its time to go home now 2. Gain 1,000 endurance upon completion Parameters: Length: 30 days, Cost: $1,000,000 Tier: 4
These are poor attempts to joke on www.Masterclass.com. Can definitely be reworked to something actually funny / relevant.
Pros: 1. Adds an element to the game for older players. 2. Keeps certain parts of the game relevant (fitness centers, book of carols, WSSB block, education merits). 3. Slowly increases overall work stats of the population. 4. Opportunity to train non-primary/secondary work stat to reach 100k merit.
Cons: 1. Increase in number of people qualifying for certain work stats could lead to lower wages. 2. Potential to further separate older vs younger players with education completeness requirement
in the future, I feel logic questions are better than can you figure out a crazy sequence I came up with. The weather question alone without the series probably eliminated a few people. The check question while poorly worded was another difficult but solvable question.
Haha oh yeah, running down the list puts you at risk for retals but then odds are your faction will retal that person and it can get pretty heated. I like that little things like this can get fac chat fired up, but just as long as it doesn’t get out of hand
