My recommendation would be to make prices rise slightly every once in a while, then lower the price by a bunch. It will make the people think that this is not going to stay, and that they should buy their stuff while the prices are lower. That's the way the game i programmed, or at least that was my experience with it.
I'm not one to make threads. Never was. I did it once, back when I didn't know it was a bad idea. But I figured, because I'm genuinely curious about other people's story: Who is (or was) your Torn buddy?
We've all made friends here. Well, most of us anyway. But there's always that friend that you hold higher than the others. One that you actually felt like you could connect with, even if you never met them. You may have lost them somewhere along the line, or you may still be in contact with each other. But no matter when you part ways, you'll probably remember them for a while.
I'll share mine to get this started.
3 or 4 years ago, in the summer, I was randomly contacted by someone I never spoke to before. I didn't want to be rude, so I politely asked who they were. The response I got was" I was browsing through players". I figured I'd see where it went. Our first conversation went well. Our interests aligned closely. One conversation led to another, and I really felt like I was getting to know them. We talked every few days, and this continued on for another 2 years. We grew very close. We friended each other on Steam, despite the fact that this was the only game we both played. They were quite the artist, and I would receive pictures to their online artwork often. We shared real life stories, good ones, bad ones, and ones that had no point to them. And one day, in October of 2018, I received a message that she would be logging on less. I asked why, naturally, to which they responded with "family issues". Our conversations grew shorter, and less numerous. And in December of that same year, we talked for the last time. They logged off and I never heard from them again. Well, that broke my heart. But I dealt with it, and sent a message in the mail with goodbyes, and requesting they contact me if they logged on again. I checked periodically, and one fateful day, I saw that they had logged back on... a week ago. I missed it. I wouldn't have cared all that much, except I didn't get a message. It bothered me a bit, but not too the point where I got mad. Well, that was the last time they logged on. At the time of this post, the last action was 361 days ago.
And that's the story of my old Torn buddy. Feel free to share yours here too.
Not love, but I definitely lost someone who meant a lot to me. Story time.
About 3-4 years ago, I got a random message from a stranger. They were a new played, and claimed to be looking for someone to talk to.. That was a red flag for me. But I tried to play along with their game. So a few days of chatting went by. No scams or requests for a lot of money. So far, so good. Matter of fact, they were open to giving me information of their own. It took a bit of time for trust to build, but in time I came to realize this wasn't a scammer. They legitimately were looking for someone to talk chat with. After a little while, I came to think of them as an actual friend. I felt like I could talk to them about what was on my mind, and I didn't really have anyone like that at the time. This person helped me through a rough patch in my life, a time where I felt hopeless. They don't really know that, and I never told them how they helped me. I regret not doing that at the time.
At some point, our conversations started to dwindle. They lasted for shorter amounts of time, and were less numerous. At some point, we stopped talking altogether. Around that time, they logged on Torn less and less. And then they stopped. They went inactive, and I lost someone who helped me through a dark time. In hindsight, a lot of the changes I've made to myself in recent years have been because of them. I didn't really recieve much kindness, and this person showed me some. About a year ago, I made some major changes to my life, and I feel much better because of it. I completely turned my life around, decided I wanted be nicer and help people out more. It was the little bit of kindness that I was shown that inspired me to turn my life around, and although they'll likely never know the impact this person had on my life, I'm grateful to have known them nonetheless.
EDIT: I'd also like to mention that they did come back online a few months ago. The reunion, if you can call it that, was not what I hoped it would be. I guess I couldn't find the right thing to say. Another regret I have is not working harder to re-establish conversations, but it is what it is. And May, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for not doing more.
Moving on is a big part of life. We transition through childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and the elder years. Whether we like or not, it’s here and it’s not leaving. And I think it’s about time I leave. So many things I’ve said and people I’ve met (Both good and bad, but mostly bad.). Change is something that is hard to accept, especially if you have plans that would crumble. I’ve completed my plans, and maybe even planted my seed as a regular forum poster. But there are others who still linger in the forums. So I’ve dedicated this thread to saying my goodbyes to most of the people I’ve met through the forums.
Evil-Duck, we may have had our differences and arguments, but that doesn’t mean I don’t give a shit about you. Honestly, I have a kind of respect for you. Posting wise, you have the persistence of a spider trying to escape a shoe. But spiders take care of some pests, and if there was one spider I would choose to keep in these forums, it would be you. Oh, and you’ve got a gift coming your way soon.
Dude, despite your threads and lies you’ve told over the however-long-you’ve-been-on-the-forums, you still have talent in reporting. You told the news and gave your opinion on it, and even if people didn’t agree, you still did it. Like ED, you have persistence and you have a hoard of it. While you’re not perfect, I can still say that I would glad to say you’re a good person.
Kata, I enjoyed watching your videos and reading your posts. I remember the first time we chatted. You were having an argument with Collete, and I stepped in on the side I thought was right. Not sure what’s going on between you two now, but I hope you make peace if you haven’t already. Keep posting, and rack up that karma!
T-stark, you stayed on the same side of the fight, and you did a damn good job of fighting the shit. You were never afraid to like and respond to a post, and never afraid to object to someone else’s. I can admire that in a person, assuming they use it with good judgement. And I’m glad to say you did. You also have a gift coming your way.
StorkMonkey, you remained neutral in your posts the entire time I’ve known you. That shows that you (I hope this is true, correct me if I’m wrong.) have differing opinions on people, good or bad, but you can always find the opposite in a person. You’re posts are witty, cunning, and smart. But that’s just what I gathered from you. I would send you a gift, but I don’t think I have anything of use to you. Except for the cesium I recently sold. I can track them down for you and ask them to give you a discount if you’d like.
Louise_De_Pointe, I always found you a very likable person. You posted very good posts, you got along with most, if not, everyone, and you did all this without angering one person. Nothing much to say except keep doing what you’re doing.
M16, no comment.
And that’s it. To the rest of you, whether it’s friend or foe, I would like to thank you for being part of my journey. Now, let the “This is fake, he’ll come back, if not whatever” posts commence!
Not a Donator Pack, but I have found a Goodie Bag in the city once. It can be done, but the people who have found DPs in the city are likely few and far between.
They tried to give him money equal to the value of the points he put in the faction. Doodle refused the money, and said that he wanted to be let back into the faction so he could take his points back. They tried to pay him back, but he didn't want it. It's not really their fault, and the offer is still on the table from what I can tell.
You specified no melee weapons, so at first glance, Glock 17 would be a good choice. Only slightly more damage than your prefered damage, but it's got slightly more accuracy than your prefered accuracy. Hope this helps!

A 1st edition Pathfinder group is a rare sight nowadays, given 2nd edition has been released and all. But everyone in the group unanimously agrees that 1st edition, while definitely flawed, is still better than 2nd edition. We alternate with a Kingmaker campaign and a War for the crown campaign every Sunday. But that's not the point here.
My buddy's reponse on Discord was fairly short. He's really enjoying it, he says it's a lot better than Kingmaker. He does say that there are a number of bugs in the game, so unless you have nothing else to play, he says it MIGHT be worth holding off for a week or 2. He's reached level 5 with no bugs, but the bugs he's heard of have been complaints on Reddit, and those are mostly about endgame and high level content. Depending on how much you play, they may get patched before you get there. But overall, he's liking it.
I play Pathfinder (Tabletop version) every Sunday with some friends. While I personally don't plan on getting WotR, someone in the group should have bought it already. I can ask him how it is if you'd like.
There may be some kind of addon or whatever to do that, I don't personally look into those, but as far as mechanics in game, there shouldn't be any way to block someone from appearing in the hospital. If I may ask, is there a specific reason you would like to do this?
Are you asking where to go if you want to add stuff to it? I can see your display cabinet just fine. If you were able to find it earlier but you can't on mobile, I would safely assume that is the issue. But I could be wrong.
How happy am I... like 3 or 4. Despite having been inactive for a decent bit of time, my overall stats are abhorrent for the amount of time I've been active. My networth is lower than it should be, my level is lower than it should be, my battle stats are lower than it should be, my overall effectiveness in the game is simply garbage.
For a frame of reference, a guy I know started playing Torn the exact same day I did. The gap in our level and stats was low at first, but it grew. Right now, he's level 80, with a significantly higher amount of networth and stats than I can ever hope for. I made a lot of mistakes he didn't make. Yeah, if I had the chance to change the way I started the game, I'd take it. But at the very least, even though I didn't make the most of every opportunity, I'm still enjoying the game enough for me to keep playing. I just don't really enjoy where I'm at right now.
It crossed my mind, but I simply didn't think it would go on for this long. By the time I realized they weren't going to stop, I was in another company.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your statement on consequences. When I was in the Software Corporation that I used to work for, I hacked a few different companies. 2 of the directors sent me mail, stating they were... less then pleased with my choice in company hacking. It's not unexpected, nor was the following few weeks of constant attacks. But it's been over a year and a half since the more recent of the 2 hackings, and neither director has stopped attacking. Mugs are regular for me, and I've accepted it. But my point is that people can and will retliate against any sort of slight against them, whether or not they are in a position of power. It is much easier to do so if you are stronger, but even if you aren't, there are still bounties. So while people with power can easily make you suffer if they choose, the consequences and length of them are dependant mostly on the player's determination. That's been my experience, anyway.
