I interpret Islam far differently. The U.S. Constitution's Bill of Rights is the purest form of Islam. This is because there is no compulsion in religion. Therefore Freedom of Religion, etc. is absolute. That is a very subtle Understanding, that Allah leadeth both the righteous and the wicked by the Glorious Qu'ran, but he does not decide the path they take. The good are made better, and the evil more lost and confused. The determinant lies both with intellect and emotion and empathy. You know, there's a reason that Allah wants you to learn knowledge and science. Science cannot contradict truth, so if God doesn't fit your understanding, then your understanding is flawed.

If you kill one of a people, it is as if you have killed all of a people. The greatest jihad is the one against the self. Allah is forgiving, merciful. These are things I remember from my study of Islam. They support and expand things I learn from other religions. They speak to me, each in their way, as it was meant to be.

The story of the Sea-Captain who feared Allah, and after he died had his ashes scattered into the sea, and to the corners of the Earth, but Allah relented to him on the Last Day because he believed in Allah and he Last Day, and this is the only reason given.

That's why (everyone should) keep it simple. Islam is not found in ritualism, tradition, or the words of a man, or group of men. Islam is found in the Freedom to believe and behave as free as you can. The social elite see this, and that's why the United States is under such disapproval and attack. The Glorious Qu'ran has been structured so that the evil will be guided toward evil, and the good guided toward the good. It even tells you that, Allah guideth whom he will unto Islam, and also guideth whom he will into nonbelief. Yet there is no compulsion in religion, so how can Allah do such a thing?

Because you follow your heart, either Allah lives there, or evil does. To truly love Allah means you will spend your time arguing why other people are Muslim (there are only two requirements, believe in Allah and the Last Day), and why Allah should forgive them (like the sea-captain!). If you follow and quote rules like a parrot, if your actions are guided by ritual rather than love and empathy and logic, there is the devil. And that's what "The Satanic Verses" was all about. You don't really know what was inspired by devils, but they had their say, of course they did. They control the world until the Last Day.

The jinn don't have to beat such a person. Their emotions cause them to beat themselves. That's why I can't help be humble, because if you think about it in that light, God made all things, I have not done or accomplished anything, because God can be said to have controlled both my predispositions and environment.

Humanity both can and should begin to fundamentally re-imagine themselves in this way. Change the evolutionary markers. It can be done. We need to re-imagine concepts and institutions. I'll do the first one for you:

I regret that the OP thought it would be a good idea to escalate a bounty war with me, to include using NPC's like Jimmy and Leslie in addition to Duke, whom he scripts (come on, who else could write things that stupid?).

This information is pertinent to this thread only insofar as sugarvalves will now very likely be unable to officiate these races, as he might have in past years, for no reason other than as a result of his own foolhardy decisions. The practical effect of this is simply that more stewards must now have need to be employed to fill the useless gap that sugarvalves leaves. Indeed, this turn of events, may, in fact, benefit some of you slightly.

Unfortunately, that he chose to do something foolish whilst doing a racing tournament was, is, and remains for the foreseeable future, completely out of my hands. I merely respond to it appropriately, as I would any other noob who wanted to play bounty war.

I began by bountying sugarvalves for 25k, well before this event was announced, intended to be as much of a joke as his stats. Occasionally, noobs who wanted 25k would collect them. Though the bountys were normally collected within a week, their collection was reasonably infrequent, and wouldn't have affected anything short of periodically reminding sugarvalves that he don't train and demonstrating to him how x number of noobs figured that out and used this new information to make 25k, which is, of course, about al thatl sugarvalves' stats are worth. I do not wish to flood this thread needlessly with the bounty reveal posted elsewhere in this forum, but as of this posting, the beat(down) goes on.

For anyone other than sugarsack who wants to know why Torn City Times is the seat of corruption in our fair city, this has been building up for some time, so read on. For the rest of you a tl;dr with an upcoming challenge is provided following, as I know that most of Torn has the attention span of a circus monkey.

You see, this all started a long time ago, back when the article in the TCT was actually worth reading. It was about a man being hosped often. He was good-natured about it, because the point of the article was: attack and leave is best for experience, but if you do it too much you might become known as a levelling target and end up like the man in the article. Back then, staff actually seemed to care about the players, and scamming was illegal. The community flourished.

Then, one day, the author of that article unexpectedly was kicked off the paper for a seemingly innocuous joke, in IRC of ll places. Off-site. Back then I was a carefree, anime-loving Barbie affeccianado, who just happened to love playing Gaia Online. Since it was the case that my avi was insanely cute, and that the aforementioned reporter's girlfriend was on my friendslist, She invited me to Torn City, to join IRC, and to back them up. I did what I could, but ultimately, I only made them look foolish for a few minutes, and the reality of IRC in that moment was they were all too drunk to remember from one minute to the next, let alone from then until now.

Back then, if you were female, Quacks would offer to change your stats, but I told him no, and offered nothing in return. Corruption has always been rife in Torn City, and my dealings with the staff fared little better.

For example, through no fault of my own, one day some nimwit bought shit items which I had listed in the item market for 1 billion. Since my listings were free, I thought, hey why not? Since everyone loves me, and people quit all the time, it seemed reasonable that someone quitting would want to buy the items before they left for good. One day that happened, several times. I simply thought I had an anonymous fan. In retrospect, I was rather naive to believe this, because back then I trusted the site. Back then, it seemed unthinkable that anyone would be able to breach other people's accounts and take their funds. After all, did not Chedburn himself challenge people to hack the site, in order that site security could be strengthened further? He sure did!

One of the things I did with the money was a bit of gambling. I bet 1b on the Ravens, against the Patriots. I knew the Ravens would win because their defense was something that the Patriots wouldn't be able to overcome easily, whereas the Pats own defense was somewhat lacking. As I'd predicted, the Pats won. All the money was given to its rightful owners, and I was penalised my winnings, not because I didn't deserve them, as the money was demonstrably in my posessions due to the failings of Torn City and through no fault of my own. I even went so far as to ask the person from whom the money had been taken, and hey had no problem whatsoever with my keeping the winnings. They had the original 1 bil back, so no harm done.

Due to the corrupt admin at the time, however, my winnings were taken wrongfully from me as well. Turns out, Hydr0 was a Pats fan, and had lost his ass on that game. He just couldn't stand the idea tha some stupid fake female like me could predict American football better than him, and so Patriarchy prevailed. My old account [341315] went into massive debt. I restarted.

tl;dr Rather than dwelling on sugarvalves' obviously questionable outlook, as evidenced by his casual racism and misogyny, I prefer to offer up a challenge, Not to sugarvalves, who clearly doesn't want to face his own shortcomings, but to you, the good people of Torn City.

In the coming days, I will post a thread in Fun and Games. It will present a mystery, a fun, relevant mystery. For 14 days, participants are encouraged to solve the mystery. At the end of the contest, I will produce what I believe th be the solution. Since this is prepared in advance, I am prohibited from copying answers of submissions prior to it. Thechallenge, explain the mystery at least as much, bur preferably more, than my own solution. In this way, I can easily demonstrate how good I really am. The prize is Grade 5 MCS (stock).

So, if you're a thinking person who is able to read more than a few words, and think for yourself, you will have a glorious opportunity to show me up, and take a fairly large chunk of my networth, which, unlike sugarvalves, I earned myself, rather than generating through a NPC (Duke).

The rest of you losers can go back to stupid Wendy's with the rest of the stupid poor people, and dream of winning a Bugatti Veyron, in a challenge that is probably as rigged as the slot machines. I mean, don't be surprised if one of the stewards wins, but hey, no corruption here in the sand, says sugarvalves and his yes-men.
