Im a fan of Jazz mainly because of the opportunities that I have had made available to me through playing jazz trumpet.

This thread has given me some solid advise as a new player. Namely respect people who deserve it, don't make waves, if you fall into someone's sights weather the storm, and be polite in general.

Before going further I am going to make the assumption that you are christian, if not I apologies. The bible is split into two different anthologies, the Old Testament and the New Testament. When Jesus came down he created a new covenant which takes the place of the old. In this context that means that a christian should follow the examples and teachings of Jesus as opposed to following the example of their ancestors. The message of Jesus is based solely on love. An example of this is Mark 12:30-31 which says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this 'Love your neighbour as your self.' There is no commandment greater than these." Another verse is Matthew 22:37-39. While these two verses do not directly pertain to homosexuality, they do mandate our reaction to homosexuals. We are supposed to love them as we love ourselves.

This is not meant to be an attack but instead part of a discussion on the content and meaning of the bible.

If given the chance, I would eat dog. I have already eaten horse and multiple other types of meat not usually found on the dinner table in my area. I agree with many of the arguments above, notably CatHead's inclusion of the cost of raising meat stock. Because of these costs my family has taken up the tradition of hunting for our meat. It is remarkable how much freezer space is taken up by half a sizeable buck. along these same lines I would prefer to eat a dog that I have had a hand in raising, for financial and moral reasons, I dislike the idea of having someone else kill an animal that I will be eating. I prefer to do my own dirty work.

This is forums, what did you expect to happen?

1. Learning the basics of plumbing

I agree that low income workers are more likely to receive public assistance, but making the workers legal would make their work not under the table, making sure that they make at least minimum wage.

Exactly, and by making those workers legal the government would increase its revenue through the new taxable workers.

I would argue that we have already seen what happens to the people who oppose automation by force. The Luddites tried to stop the development of industrial production through raids on factories. What happened was the British government made it a capital crime to destroy the machines and that was the end of the movement. Albeit that was a different situation than we are currently facing, it shows what happens to civilians who try to keep their jobs through destruction of property, it ends poorly.

They are making as much food as they can that will negatively impact the least amount of people. The result is a mostly tastless mush that is just calories and necessary nutrients.
