Today my love and I welcome our child into the world, we met back in what used to be UR. Fast forwarding to now and we're engaged and today our son was born!

Our profile pictures finally came true, Sange, Yasha and the baby. It's extremely surreal, both exciting and scary at the same time :P

He was born in good health, 2nd of December, which is six days before my own birthday. December runs in my family for boys.

We're both extremely happy and we're excited to start this huge journey ahead of us.

Some great news coming up in this thread but first, some back story.

I met my now Mrs when I was part of leadership within the UR group of factions. Within a few months of being her friend and eventually dating. I booked plane tickets and flew quite literally to the other side of the world.

After that trip was over and done with (Nov 2019) I booked a flight almost instantly for March 2020. That turned out to be very risky because that was when covid started taking over the world.

I ended up getting stuck in the Philippines with my Mrs due to flights being cancelled left and right. Lost a ton of money there too.

Fast forward to the day I was leaving and it turned out to be final. This was the day that we found out we were pregnant. I had to catch my flight home around 3 hours after we found out.

Little did we know at the time but this would be the last time my Mrs and I would see each other again for 2 years.

It has been a real struggle for both of us. Me missing everything, the entire pregnancy, the day he was born and even his first ever birthday. And for my Mrs having to go through all of this without me too.

I have been here for only a few days currently and I can see the insane amount of work and effort it takes even with me helping. So I can't begin to imagine how she did all of this without me and for so long.

But I am proud to announce that the hard times have come to pass and things are finally looking up for me and my family. Our son warmed up to me very quickly after a very intense crying session because he missed Mama.

Torn has given me my family and now I must take a far more relaxed style of play. I will never be as active as I once was. Thank you Torn for giving me all you have. I feel like I have had the best Torn experience possible. Thank you to all my friends here that have listened to my emotional rants over the last two years. Now it is time for me to move on with my life and give my all to my wonderful family.

On the 5th of November I married the love of my life. A little backstory.

We met playing Torn of all things, same faction family. I ended up viewing her profile and the rest is history. From her profile picture I knew she was the girl of my dreams and on the 5th of November those dreams became my reality as she took my hand in marriage.

We have had a very tough ride as some of you may have seen my other threads. Our son was born on Dec 2nd 2020 and the soonest I could meet him due to travel restrictions (Covid BS) was Feb 2022.

If we can make it through that together and then move forwards and get married. We can do anything. Nothing is out of our realm of possibility, however difficult it may be.

Me (Yasha) and my now IRL wife (Sange) Went from being strangers to each other on this game to having a child and getting married despite living on opposite sides of the planet. So many unexpected events have led to both of us being happier than we ever thought possible.

Both of our lives would be completely different, if we had never started playing this game. This game can make your life better than you ever thought possible. Anything can happen at any moment and before you know it. Your life has completely changed.

I want to thank the friends that helped me through everything and put up with me when I was suffering, thank you so much. You all know who you are and your support helped me very much.

I honestly never thought I'd owe my life to a game but here I am. Torn has given me everything. A wife, a son and some very good friends.

To my now wife, I love you. You're amazing. You're such a strong person and you make me a better and more thoughtful man.

Shove it all into stocks, pretend you're never able to spend it. Make money on stocks and start over again on poker. Before you know it you'll be at 300b and by then stats should be SE levels
