Sorry, can't watch that right now, but seeing the sentence "Depression is trying to heal you" actually makes me rather angry.
Yes, I think crying helps. But depression is not just crying, in fact, crying is just a method which eases the depression a bit. The illness itself is just that: an illness.
Depression helps you with absolutely jack, it just makes everything harder.
Sorry for the rant, I know, that's not what this thread is about.
You're doing great. Everything will be alright. I know everything looks like shit rn, but you'll make it through and things will get better.
And a tip Tumblr gave me: imagine you're talking to Arthur Weasly. He'd be absolutely amazed by your everyday life. You made SOUP in a heat box called a microwave and it only took like, what, 60 seconds?? Oh my, that is awesome!!
And another tip for the times when positive thinking just doesn't do it:
Cry. Grab some tissues and cry and sob 'til your eyes are sore.
I promise you, you'll feel better afterwards, your mind clearer and your emotions settling. And also have some water ready to rehydrate quickly.
I know this thread is not directed at me, but I'd like to give my opinion anyway.
I've been active online for about 10-12 years now, met many people here, had lots of good, some bad and some plain weird encounters.
And in my experience, a friend you found online can be just as nice and supporting as a friend IRL. Even more so as many people who seek social connections online have often trouble talking to others IRL, usually because of their great sensitivity and sometimes slightly weird character, which makes them amazing chat partners though.
Now, while some might want to meet IRL, most of us greatly value our anonymity and don't make such a decision easily.
If someone pushes on you to meet them, they're actually being rather insensitive, and in my opinion often not worth talking to.
Well, that concludes me giving unnecessary and unasked for commentary.
I'm so sorry about that. I hope you can soon manage to move on, maybe even get a new pet (not as a replacement of course).
My family has had bunnies all my life and although it was always sad when they left, all I feel now when I think about them is deep love and appreciation for the memories and emotional support they gave me.
I love writing and really want to write a story, but I usually lack the inspiration and ideas to actually get something like that together. All I'm really good at is editing... Someone got a job for me? xD
I was really into solipsism when I was like 16, with the whole "I'm the only one that's real"-thing.
Still, you're likely never gonna find out or at least you can never be sure that the world actually IS real. And in the end there's no point in finding out. Because, real world or not, your goal should be to live a happy life, and if that involves a simulated reality, then so be it.
Had the comic for some time now, finally started reading like two weeks ago, definitely no regret. Poison Ivy is one of my absolute fav characters in the DCU ♥
