This was my first game like this, and I can say I was completely caught off guard by how strong people's feelings were about how others were making their choices to vote. It was interesting, and as someone who has no idea what a mafia game is, I was actually really nervous to vote.
This hesitation caught me and I was tossed in the snow because I got caught in traffic on my way home from work (2.5hr drive that day, ugh) and missed the vote deadline. I had mostly waited until close to the deadline (6pm where I am) because I didn't want to vote wrong and end up the object of someone's ire since this was my first-ever game. That was no one's fault but my own, but I am with assassin that maybe a one-strike-you're-out rule can be tough on people who do post, but might miss the actual vote deadline for IRL reasons. The rule was applied completely evenly, though, so I really can't complain.
That being said, what is a mafia game? So many people talked about it over the course of this game, but as someone who had literally never heard of it before, I am not sure if I broke some etiquette rules or anything like that.
Seriously, though, I had a ton of fun playing this. Daisy, I think you did an awesome job, and I really appreciate all the effort you put in. Thank you so much!!
Edit: Also what is RNG? I feel derpy, but I had no idea what everyone was referring to.
I still have no idea how I did other than that I didn't make the top 250. I have no clue how many treats I collected overall and had no way of knowing if I was even close to the top. I would have spent more money and e had I been able to see how I was doing relative to everyone else.
This is the first comp I have done where I couldn't track how I was doing at all. Other than that, it was fun. However, since I have no idea if I came in 251st or 9,000th, I probably won't bother participating next year.
Thank you so much for the explanation! It makes total sense. Reminds me of a card game I played with werewolves and villagers, and everyone had a special thing they could do, etc.

Yes, please Daisy. I have been enjoying your storytelling. Was really hoping for an interesting reveal. A little sad to find out who the maniac is in this manner, but I also want to find out what ending you had in store.
