Whenever I'm on a real life flight I bring activities. Checkers, chess, a deck of cards, video games etc.
My suggestion is to implement mini games during flights. Maybe it could be a reskinned space invaders or pacman clone, checkers or chess pvp with another traveler. Online poker is played by millions everyday. Perhaps adding select casino games like bookie and poker through the laptop.
Add your suggestions to the comments too. Anything is better than watching that countdown timer.
I spent my first months in torn running plushies and it was boring, this would be a good way to keep some of the many new players engaged through this stage of their game play as well.
Thanks for reading.
***Update 2020***
Thanks for the recent interest folks, let's see we if we can get this over the magic 100. -Perhaps this could be unlocked through a special "Nintendo" like item. (Obviously not that name) -Purchased in Japan? Maybe for $50m ? Not for everyone but for those who want to put up the cash.
Welcome to Torn! My name is Pneuma (pronounced "noo-mah"). Torn City can be an intimidating place. We all knew what it was like to start, and so now that I am a little bit more established I wanted to do something that somebody did for me when I was a little field mouse.
In this thread I will be giving parcels of equipment to new players. Some weapons, armor and temp items. Each parcel contains the same items. They were chosen to be more effective than the most basic gear. It will potentially be good enough to not have to upgrade until you are level 15 and making some okay money.
Requirements: This is gear for new players! Not freebies for people to sell!
Please be Under level 10
Under 30 days old.
Have not yet purchased DP's or subscription service.
No restarts.
Have a desire to advance!
If you fall outside of these requirements but are still a new player, message me to discuss! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I currently have 11 of these parcels made up, ready to go in my inventory.
Post below if you need one or know some one who would benefit.
I will be online for a few hours from now. I will indicate when I have run out of Noob Kits.
Sounds like you're better off without that faction. I have a brother with downs syndrome and while it will certainly be challenging it is also rewarding. As an adult my brother is happy, healthy and productively engaged with society and I wouldn't trade him.
Profanum - A Descent into Medieval Darkness 1997, Poland Early Black metal with dungeon synth mixed in and lighter on guitar. Muted vocals with some raw and atmospheric layers. It works
From my own experience sharing a PI vault forever now - it's rarely got more than 400m in it. Money sitting in a vault isn't working to earn more money, so as soon as the vault is full-ish it gets moved to stocks or whatever. Unless you need regular access to over 500m you'd do better putting the $ to work elsewhere.
120 pages is much too much for the casual player to catch up on. So, as a public service for all, here's a narrative Tldr from our friend Chat GPT! Take it away Skynet!
"In the once notorious city of gangs, where power and supremacy were fiercely contested, there was a gang that met its inevitable downfall. They were known as JFK, or 'Just Fallen Kingdom' as the wiser ones preferred to call them. JFK, once a force to be reckoned with, ultimately crumbled under the weight of their own arrogance and ineptitude. Their grand aspirations of dominance ended in nothing more than a pitiful whimper.
The Jinxed Faction's Kollapse was as predictable as it was laughable. Despite their grandiose plans, their luck had run out, sealing their fate. The Jagged Fists Kapitulated in a display of feebleness that left the city in stitches. The once fearsome Joker, with his delusions of grandeur, met a humiliating end in his Failed Konquest.
Oh, the Judgement Failed Klan, with their misguided sense of superiority and misplaced bravado, fell from grace with a resounding thud. Their once lofty ambitions crumbled like a house of cards, leaving them nothing but a pitiful memory in the annals of the city's history.
Yes, in this tale of urban warfare, JFK's name became synonymous with failure and defeat. Their dreams of conquest turned into a mere punchline, a reminder that even the mightiest can be brought to their knees. The mocking echoes of 'Just Fallen Kingdom' served as a reminder to all who dared challenge the true champions of the city."
Riveting stuff! Thanks Chat GPT!

Yeah I guess I really don't. Thanks for trying to explain it to me 5x while I was offline. I'll get it one day, please don't give up on me mum, your wisdom is ineffable.
Up until 1 year ago ArmaLite was the go-to primary for most. Poorer players would use the Enfield instead, and players with 'f**k-you' money use the Gold AK47.
Today ranked waring loot via weapons caches spawn weapons with many types of buffs or enemy debuffs. Creating situation specific builds/loadouts is more possible than ever and there can be no single answer.
Can't believe I'm about to agree with WhackedMaki but raidings sole purpose is to drain respect with no gain for the aggressor. I was gonna compare it to chaining with hosps but even that gives the same respect as leave. Raid is a valid gameplay, ofc, but you're not shitting anyone.
