When I first joined Torn, I was looking for a simple browser based game I could play on my phone. I've had a video game addiction all my life and decided to give up all forms of computer games and online media. Torn was kind of a compromise because it was so simple.

Over the weeks of play, I found myself getting totally consumed by the game- the stock market investments, real estate, flower smuggling, guild dynamics, etc, and found it taking up a lot of my free time. Finally I figured, hey, why am I playing make-believe when I could be putting in all this time and energy into real life endeavors? Afterall, I had sold products on Amazon and Ebay before and knew that the process was pretty much identical to selling in the Bazaar..

It was at this time IRL that I entered the crypto-currency market, right before the epic bullrun of Dec. 2017.

I was unemployed at the time and with my last 200 dollars, I bought .02 BTC and invested in Ripple at $.25. In a few days it went to $.75 and my investment tripled. I thought "wow, this is so easy!" I then bought into Verge which 10X'd my account after John McCafee shilled it on Twitter (you don't count gains by % in crypto- you count it by X's). From there I invested in Pearl when it was 30cents and after a popular youtuber hyped it, the chit spiked to $4 a pop. I was now sitting on upwards of $80,000.

At this point pretty much everyone in crypto was in pure ecstasy. This to me was a red flag because I had studied the "psychology of a market cycle" and knew that we were nearing the peak of the bullrun based on the euphoria in the air. But what really sounded my alarm was when my friends grandmother asked about crypto- It was at this point that I cashed tf out.

I had been interested in real estate for many years, and now with some capital I finally had the chance to invest in some properties. I bought up 6 foreclosed houses in a low income area where the rent was still decent enough and became a slum lord, pulling in $5Gs a month sitting on my ass. Over the past year I've since expanded to 9 houses and make close to $7,000 a month in passive income.

Recently I've taken an interest to the ACTUAL stock market (which is so hilarious, because the crypto crowd openly mocks the stock exchange for it's abysmal rate of return). I've found the volatility to be fairly decent in penny stocks and have been averaging about $1k per hour. Not bad for staring at charts and clicking your mouse.

So that's what I've been up to. If you treat life itself like a GAME you can easily reach financial independence. In all honesty it's not much more difficult than this game you play here. It's also not much more satisfying ;)

Whatever you do, enjoy the hell out of it.

Martingale is an ineffective strategy.

If you bet heads and the coin lands tails 5 times in a row guess what the odds of getting heads are on the next flip?

50%

This means you are setting yourself up to lose in the long run because your highest value bet (and hence highest possible payout) only comes after a series of losses, and has the same odds of winning as just placing the large bet to begin with. Example:

Regular betting: bet 4m, win 4m 50% of the time, lose 4m 50% of the time. Result: evens out.

martingale: bet 4m only after losing 1m+2m, win 4m 50% of the time, lose 4m 50% of the time. Result: win 1m 50% of the time, lose 7m 50% of the time. Go broke.

The lower bet losses do win 50% of the time too of course, but your net losses will always be higher in the long run.

Cheater A: Hey dude- remember that stupid Mafia clone I started scripting as a side project?

Cheater B: Lmao, you mean the one from ten years ago?

Cheater A: Lol yeah. I finally got banned xD

Cheater B: Omg xD took them a while huh? what did you make?

Cheater A: About 1200 a month. Sold the money to chodes on Facebook. Had half a dozen of my rigs running over 400 accounts xD

Cheater B: Lmao And you got away with it for ten years? Talk about easy money.

Cheater A: Yeah man - and you know the best part? I managed to sell off the rest of my stuff before being banned LOL. The community is in an uproar because of all the laundered money being confiscated ahahahaha

Cheater B: Ahhh dude, who needs ruinedscape when you got suckers like that xD

Stocks are actually very predictable- because human emotions are predictable. From what I understand, the stocks in Torn are randomly generated based on arbitrary behavioral archetypes. You might actually do better IRL.

But there is a saying: "Day trading is the hardest easy money you'll ever make." And it's because you have to master your own psychology. Most can't do it- anywhere from 95 to 99% of daytraders lose money. You need to do the exact opposite of what your senses tell you to do. Buy low, sell high. Who would buy when there's blood on the streets and red everywhere? Who would sell when prices just seem to go up forever?

For example- all humans without exception are born with the natural instinct to protect against loss. This manifests in the stock market as the exact opposite behavior of what is necessary to make profit: by holding on to losers in the hope things will turn around, and cutting winners short because of fear that the price will go back down and all the gains will vanish. As soon as we see a little bit of profit we want to take it and run. When we see a loss we won't sell because we haven't accepted the risk. People hold and hope all the way down. That's how you blow up an account. And you're hard wired to do this. It just doesn't work out in the long run because you need pre-defined risk/reward ratios and if your winners are tiny and your losses are huge you'll go bankrupt very fast. "Don't eat like a bird and shit like an elephant."

There's another saying: "How you do something is how you do everything."

If you have a sink full of dishes waiting to be washed, you won't make money in the stock market. If your room needs to be cleaned, you won't make money in the stock market. If you binge on sugary junk and don't exercise, you won't make money in the stock market. And the reason why is simple: because you need to be able to follow your own rules and no one will hold you accountable except yourself. What's going to stop you from oversizing on a mediocre setup? What's going to stop you from revenge trading to make up for a loss? No one but yourself. This is why most fail. Because people are weak and lazy by nature. Only the strong survive.

One huge tip I can give to anyone interested in trading the markets: master VOLUME. Price and time are only 2 dimensional. If you stick to price alone you'll fail repeatedly. Volume is the third dimension that gives depth and context to the price action. Understanding volume is like seeing through the Matrix.

Volume. Volume

Sleep Paralysis. Scary or mere mind games? · · 2 likes

There are two causes of sleep paralysis:

1) You're actually astral projected out of body but your consciousness and memory of the event is left behind with the physical body. This is known as a "mind split". The end effect is that you feel "stuck" in your physical body and are unable to move despite your greatest effort.

There are 4 combinations of memory recall when projecting:

-complete absence of memory of either the physical or astral body's perspective (the overwhelming majority of people).

-memory of the astral projection only but no recollection of the physical body's perspective (most astral projectors experience)

-memory of the physical bodies perspective but not the astral bodies (what we call sleep paralysis)

-simultaneous memory of BOTH the astral and physical bodies perspective.

Imagine splitting your mind into two parts and having two entirely different and separate timelines/experiences then reassembling them into a single timeline. That's what it's like experiencing a full mind split.

and the fifth level which very few people achieve: integration of your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system- being fully conscious and aware in your physical body while simultaneously being aware in your astral body. They are one and the same. This takes a ton of development and dedication to a spiritual path to attain but you can basically be awake and aware and move your physical body while astral projecting.

The other cause of sleep paralysis is an entity encroaching on your space while you're asleep and keeping or holding you in the out of body state so that you feel paralyzed. These beings aren't powerful or anything- you are already asleep and so it isn't hard to keep you immobilized. If you're suffering from this kind of sleep paralysis just set up an electrical grounding on your bed. Entities are electrical in nature and will get sucked down into the earth exactly like electricity and never bother you again. You can also do a simple "psychic shielding" visualization for a few minutes before bed where you imagine a simple aura of light around yourself.
