The mission text says "you are gonna put a hit on his other half". As per my understanding of english language and movie lingo, to "put a hit" on someone is to place a bounty on them for other people to kill. As such, i accepted it intending to place a bounty on someone. But the mission itself asks the player to do the attack themselves. And I have an issue with that, hence the making of this thread.

I find the mission description misleading and it upsets me. But maybe that's just me, in which case, that's fine. I'll live with it.

So there are cases in which a player cannot initiate another attack while being attacked by someone else. I'm not completely sure about the specifics of those cases, but they do exist.

Because i was being attacked by a spouse of one of the opposite faction's members and was not allowed to initiate another attack against the faction we are warring against during that time.

In past wars, we and the opposite factions were able to hold someone occupied and prevent them from attacking by initiating an attack and waiting for a timeout or something like that. Here it didn't work *against the opposite faction member and i'm unsure as to why that is.

Prefacing that i reported this as bug abuse in the heat of the moment.

My faction is in a war with another faction. A faction colleague was keeping a member of the opposite faction occupied, yet that individual kept making attacks even so. After timing out, i attacked them as well and same thing happened.

That's just one of about 3 or 4 attacks made during my pointless assault on them.

Problem is before that, i was kept busy unable to attack anyone by someone else. So the restriction is supposed to work. Can't figure out why it didn't. Send help. Thank you

Edit: Now everybody's doing it. Seems to not be a bug? It's a feature? If so, there's still so much stuff around i don't know about...

I have a personal issue with how the process is handled. The refund seems to be tied to the outbid notification and an older thread suggests that updates once a minute, independent from the auction bid 60s timer. This means the lost bid can be refunded only a mere few seconds until the better bid wins, effectively locking you out of a tiny bidding war if you lack the funds to put out a higher bid separately.

Is there no better way of making the refund faster withing the alloted 60s bid timer reset and allow those with limited funds more control over our pathetic monetary scrounging? I feel the current state presents a bias against the poorer participants, a class which i consider myself a part of (for now).

Every $ counts. And even if we can self-inflict a backalley kidney sale for some extra dough, it matters little when the system itself refuses to participate in good faith.

If possible, i would ask for a consideration in this matter. Thank you and have an acceptable new year.

What a coincidence! Trump is most of those! I can only presume you support the death penalty in his case, but can't make that corellation directly, so you're only hinting at it. *wink, wink*

No offence to OP, i understand their point of view and if I received that message, i'd tp and poop on the sender's house for years to come. (hint, hint. nudge, nudge)

But i also understand the faction's reasoning. They had a good strategy which worked well because we had a lot of bleeders with revives on. They used hundreds of ipecacs. They travelled almost all the time, like a third of the faction was in the air at any point during the war. Without you and your fellow sleepers, we wouldn't have had any targets to chain on. They would have won much faster and much easier had we not been as persistent as we were.

You stepped on their balls and it hurt all the way past the end. You don't emasculate someone like that and then hope they say 'Thank you sir, may I have another?'.

Point is, was the message petty? Of course. Would you have done the same in their shoes, when investing that much of a commitment to a war? Most likely. 

You can't just film a gay porno at someone's house and say 'Daddy chill' when they catch you. It's just not right.

Anyway, put it behind you and find a faction that's more chill. Ranked war factions are fucking crazy, man. Fo' shizzle.

But it does. We use it in almost every war. It has been used against me several times. We know it works. It's like standard behaviour.

Or at least, going into the attack screen and not actually pressing the attack button. not sure of specifics as i said.

I believe this happened to me after i received a private message and left the chat window open while doing other stuff, like sending an item to someone and adding a message. Can't be sure because i didn't notice the reappearing notification until much later.

So many different terms and definitions, it's not weird how many get confused. I'll share what i've learned so far from the many, many posts spread around everywhere on the internet. Some may be misinformed due to troll tactics.

Conservatives - they hate everyone else. All must suffer worse than they themselves do. They linger in all parties and just want projects that help others to fail and for people to suffer.

Republicans - they're all about personal freedoms and rights. Very selfish, only think of themselves and their own. To hell with everyone else. They're good for individual stuff, but that's about it.

Liberals - they're actually just Capitalists by a different name. They want monopolies, privatisation of everything and extracting wealth out of everything at all costs. They're the main culprits of this left vs right while funding both sides, solely for profit. Wealth is their only purpose. They only use the 'liberal' moniker because it allows them the greatest freedom for raking in money from all sides of a conflict. The actual liberals have long since been dead and sold on the black market.

Democrats - they have no idea what they are. I have no idea what they are. Nobody has any idea what they are. They just exist and no one knows why, not even themselves.

Leftists - they're the actual freedom party. They want everyone to be free, for better or worse. Free from government interfence (my body, my choice), free from oppression, free from private data collection, free travel, free food, free housing, free healthcare. Who's gonna pay for all that though? Well, the answer would be nobody, because that is a capitalist mindset and we should all be free from currency. See? Freedom.

Communists - they're not actually communists, they just really, really like specific types of authoritarianism.. the red kind that is.

Now that that's over with, let's get back on topic. There's a term for what the original poster is talking about.

Accelerationist - they're an offshoot of all the other parties above. Whether conservative to make everything worse for everyone else, republican to regain their own personal rights and freedom, 'liberal' to take advantage of the opportunities for more profit, democrat to reset everything and find out who they actually are, leftist to free everyone from oppression of the current corrupt administration or 'communists' to see the western world burn and hand it over on a platter to the red hegemonies, they're all individuals who want the US to fail because it f**king sucks right now, in their own personal vision.

Now i may have missed some things and it's fine as others have pointed them out much better, so i'll end my post with this: the US is currently in a downwards spiral towards extreme commercial privatisation in every aspect of life, private or public. It's getting worse and we will all suffer for it. Capitalism is killing you and that is an undeniable fact, no matter your political affiliation. Farmers - gone, education - gone, healthcare - gone, emergency services - gone. You have nothing and you're loving it for some weird reason... And all just to blame the wrong people for it.
